If you make it past the land mine riddled parking lot, you’ll walk into a joint where the owners are friendly, have passion for their food, and take great pride in making sure your dining experience is top notch. After ordering my arepas the owner put down a bottle of «garlic sauce?». This stuff seemed to taste like a melted down version of a spinach dip. It was to die for and they could sell this stuff by the gallon if they wanted. Everything here is made fresh. My rice was flavorful, and you could tell the re fried beans were made here(not from a can) and were awesome. Absolutely give this place a try. It sure was worth my trip from Stillwater to try it out.

Had the Pabellon it was wonderful. The service was divine! Salsa was tasty and the tortilla chips were fresh. Will be back to dine at Amazonia.

This is the 4th or 5th time I’ve dined here and the first time I have tried the Super Patacon and boy is it good. A fried plantain topped with ground beef(or the meat of your choice), lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and guacamole and then drizzled with ketchup, mustard and mayo. A super salad with a touch of sweet. The only thing that would have made the meal better was a domino empanadas. I will be back. Thanks for a great meal.

It’s a small place run by a family from Venezuela. They are extremely nice people. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The restaurant is simple and clean. The empanadas were excellent. The arepas were good. I will be back.

There are several picture windows in this restaurant that allow sunlight to stream in pleasantly. And that pleasant ambiance helped to enhance the very pleasant experience of having lunch here. This is not a Mexican restaurant even though they do have Mexican fare. The food here is Venezuelan. And it is excellent! If you are a Mexican food aficionado, I highly recommend that you order from the Venezuelan section of the menu. That type of food is a nice contrast to Mexican food. And if you are a hot sauce fanatic like me, they do have a variety of sauces that are excellent. The young couple who run this place are very friendly and helpful. Both of them sat with me for several minutes to help me practice Spanish. And I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. Try this place. And try the Venezuelan food. It is superb!

Good… this is not a Mexican restaurant, it’s a Venezuelan restaurant. Very unusual for Oklahoma City!

Amazing food and service! I check Unilocal all the time but have never written a review. That’s how good this place is. Pork arepa… you have to try it!

Twice this week! Can’t beat the service anywhere! They advertise ‘Latin flavors’ they should boast ‘excellent flavors’.

This place is fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious! After our first bites of food, we were planning our next visit. I have never received such great customer service. Renaldo made us feel like we had been friends with him for years. I’m not typically the type of person to ask for a certain waiter, but I will ask for him every time. Either the owner or the chef also came out and visited with us for awhile and even answered our questions and helped us pick what we would like. The food tasted so fresh and hot. I ordered the lunch special with the chicken arepa and bean and cheese chimichanga. They also give you a green garlic type sauce and a sweet corn sauce and they are absolutely delicious! They are so good on the chips as well as your entire meal! I can’t wait to go back again this week!

We just moved nearby and went here by recommendation. We were waited on by Serge. He was enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable. He recommended meals which matched the criteria we gave him. The food was fantastic, the service was equally wonderful and the beer was ice cold. There also was an employee, Inar, who was also helpful and enjoyable. My new favorite place.

This place was absolutely amazing! Some of the best food I have ever had. Definitely give this place a shot. Do not judge it by the exterior. You won’t be disappointed!

This afternoon I took my daughter, granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren to lunch at the Amazonian, a Venezuelan/Mexican restaurant. It’s a little awkward to find because its not located curbside on NW12th, but its in a commercial row set behind a Shell station and other business’s. We were greeted by a very amiable fellow(I think the owner). We chatted a bit, then the bowls of cheese and salsa and chips appeared. He then gave us a very good description of the Venezuelan items on the menu, and the corn and garlic creamy sauces that complimented them. I had the Pabellon with Avacado slices. It came with lots of black beans and a huge mound of white rice. It is beef finely shredded and tasty on its own, but I made it better by adding the garlic sauce to it, and some salsa to the black beans and rice. Both ladies had deep fried Arepas which are bread pastries stuffed with beef/chicken/whatever, shaped like large turnovers. It was a new thing to the girls and both enjoyed them. The children both had Taco platters. Everything comes with black beans and rice, and the salsa, cheese and tortilla chips never ran out. Service was good and the food was fine, prices were very reasonable so we had a really enjoyable lunch…
