This is the deli I’ve been searching for in Carlstadt/Moonachie area. Everyone else hasn’t impressed me like this place. Very very clean. Everything looks brand new. Did they just open? Nice large layout and plenty of seating. There are rings I could critique about the layout etc, but who am I to judge? The food is great, it’s quality, and it satisfies. They have a buffet table with plenty of things to choose from ranging from Eggplant Parmesan to Ribs. Doesn’t look like they have many vendors which is a nice twist to a deli(chips, snacks, etc) The food tastes great. It’s not full of flavor fillers, the portions are large, and the bread. The bread is so delicious. The fresh mozzarella is so good, and what they marinate the tomatoes and portabellas in with the mozzarella is fantastic. They don’t pump it with balsamic and EVOO, it tastes cleaner, fresher, more authentic. Eggplant parm hero was good, but I wouldn’t get it that way again. What’s on the buffet table tasted better if you don’t alter it. My fault, but doesn’t take away from the quality of this eggplant. There were plenty of things to eat and I grabbed the quickest, I’ll definitely try some of the items other people rave about next time. Please is great, fast, convenient, and the bread. The bread nailed 4 stars down on this one

Is the deli placed with single men during the lunch crowd? I heard that. Food is absolutely fantastic. I will definitely come back. I was here for several different parties. The owner is friendly and hard working.

Love this place!!! Great family owed business. Friendly staff and the food is unbelievable. I order all of the time for big events and small parties, I’ve even had parties here at the deli. I’ve gone during lunch and they are busy, so many people love the food and don’t mind waiting. Food is always fresh and new items daily. I can eat there everyday and have a different item each time.

I was looking for some Italian food and this place came up in my search. Authentic Italian food, served cafeteria style. I’ve tried the chicken francaise, chicken parmesan, and beef stew. I almost tried the chicken piccata, but they ran out(more on that later). Each entrée comes with your choice of rice or pasta. Its a pretty good sized serving, but the amount varies on who is serving you, your food. The entrees have a home cooked taste, and are moderately priced. They have daily specials going on, throughout the week. They are very busy during lunch hours and they tend to run out of food if you get there too late. They also close early in the afternoon. Location is easy to miss, as its located at the bottom of an office building, and it doesn’t have much signage to see it from the street.

We had Paradiso cater a family party this past weekend and the food was fantastic. We got nothing but rave reviews about the food and we were so happy with the trays we selected. We ordered Mozzarella & Tomato, large trays of Veal Francese, Chicken Brushetta, Pork Loin & Potatoes and Trippia(not an italian party without that!). Again everything was fantastic and the team from Paradiso really went above and beyond from making ordering easy to helping me set up the chafing dishes to make sure the sternos wouldn’t go out. Definitely recommend if you need a caterer!

Mangia, mangia, mangia… I can’t get enough of this place. It’s like going to nonna’s house for dinner. This is the place to get amazing Italian food for under $ 10. They have a buffet set up daily with hot/cold specialties… my favs are eggplant parm, seafood risotto, chicken francese and stuffed peppers. Everyday the specials change but trust me when I tell you, there will be something you like. On fridays they have many fish selections(flounder oreganata is great)…they will also make you a sandwich if you are in the mood for fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. This place is in the downstairs of an office building so it’s like a cafeteria setting… but you don’t go for the atmosphere… it’s clean and very nice but no frills! It’s my all-time favorite place to go for lunch… they also have espresso and cannoli should you want a dolce at the end of your meal. Buon appetito!

I work at the building that the paradise is located. let’ see. I do go to burger king across the street from the building. how many times a week? 1? 2? yeah-more like 1 or 2 times a year. let’s see. I could go down the road to gianna’s-another establishment that also sells Italian food. uh why would I want to do that? i’ll admit their chopped steak was pretty good but I digress. I could go to the gas station and buy their version of the Nathan’s hotdog. did it once-highly advise to others never to do that. what everyone has posted about this is spot on. from the food all the way to the people who own and work at this fine establishment, this place is aces across the board. I eat here everyday for lunch, and if you nearby the area stop here first before even considering anywhere else.

The wife and I read about this place a couple of weeks ago and wanted to give it a try but kept getting there too late in the day(They close at 3:00). This past Friday we were in the area a little before 2 pm and decided to give it a shot. Frankly, when we walked in I was a little disheartened as it seemed we were too late yet again as all of the steam table trays empty and cleaned and the staff seemed to be cleaning up preparing to close for the weekend. My disappointment must have shown on my face as one of the staff called from the kitchen inviting us to sit and letting us know they still had a good variety of items available. My wife ordered the eggplant with pasta and I the meatballs with pasta. Our first impression of the food was that everything seemed incredibly fresh. You could tell that these dishes were made with fresh ingredients and hadn’t been sitting around all week. This was especially true of the tomato sauce. Our pasta was cooked well, neither too soft nor too al dente. I really only had 2 issues with the food. the first was that there were bit of bow tie mixed in with my spaghetti. Don’t know what that was about. The other was that the meatballs contained just a hair too much bread for my liking. Neither of these issues adversely effected he meal all that much and the latter may just be a matter of my personal taste. Bottom line is that we both eat the meals and in fact soaked up the remaining sauce with the supplied bread. The staff here was extremely pleasant, friendly and accommodating. The place is located on the ground floor of an office building in the Meadowlands. As such it can be difficult to find. I’m sure it caters to the lunch business from the surrounding offices and business and to those of know or have heard about it and go looking for it. It would otherwise be difficult to even know it was there. I pass by the building all the time and only discovered the café after learning about it here on Unilocal.Even then, I had to really LOOK for it. They are apparently open for breakfast as well but judging only by the menu we took with us, this seems to be limited to basically rolls and bagel with butter or spreads on them. If they have hot breakfasts it not listed on the menu I picked up. As I have been writing this I have been bouncing back and forth between giving them 3 or 4 stars and I have come to the conclusion that it has to be 3. Here is why. As I mentioned, as we entered at around 2 pm it was clear that they were in the midst of their clean up for the day. I really didn’t have an issue with that until they started lifting the chairs up onto the tables all around us. That I do have an issue with. I mean really, I don’t want whatever nasties are on the feet of those chairs flying around in the air around me and landing in the food I am in the process of eating. While I understand TGIF and the desire to get the cleaning done and get out of there, that level of cleaning is something that really should be left until the last guest is gone and the doors locked! If your posted hours say you close at 3PM then closing and cleaning should not begin at 2PM. That said, yeah, I’ll probably go back. I’ll just try to get there a bit earlier.

If you’re looking for great Italian food with a minimalist atmosphere, Paradiso is it. This is as authentic as it gets when it comes to Homestyle Italian food. They serve good portion sizes. Everything I’ve tried has been tasty. There are daily specials that change regularly. Some dishes are made to order, but most are a la carte. The Shrimp Parmesan is probably my favorite. You really can’t go wrong with any of their offerings though. They know what they’re doing in the kitchen. The food can sometimes be light on the salt, but that’s nothing the shakers located at each table can’t fix. The people here can be very nice, but I’ve noticed that it’s not consistent. Most of the men working here seem like they’re always in a bad mood. I’ve also seen the staff be pushy for you to order quickly during peak hours. Normally, I would understand and agree with that to keep the line moving. However you really can’t see the daily menu or any of the dishes until you’re already at the counter. There are no waiters. You just order, get your food, and seat yourself. It’s an efficient system, especially for those on a limited lunch break. This place is located inside of an office building and feels very much like a cafeteria. Despite having a door that leads onto a main street, most people will not notice it unless they look closely. The furniture inside looks like stuff you would buy from Walmart. There’s no decorations aside from some pictures of celebrities that have visited the location and statues that feel a little out of place. Everything is kept is very clean and the tables are positioned far enough apart to give you some personal space. The crowd is usually a balanced mix of blue collar and white collar workers. Decent pricing here. You can get your fill for under $ 10. For the quality of food that you get, they could easily charge more. Food: 5⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Environment: 3⁄5 Price: 3⁄5 At the end of it all, you will leave with warm Italian family experience.

Real, authentic, excellent Italian food. I can’t describe it any other way. The place is owned and operated by an old school Italian family. The wives serve the food, the husbands handle the patrons, the son runs the cash register. Never had a bad meal or sandwich. Probably the best sun-dried tomatoes ever. The bread is amazing, too. Keep in mind this place is on the ground floor of an office building, so it is very easy to drive by. The sign is barely visible from the road. If you’re driving towards MetLife(Giants) Stadium, it will be on your left. I believe Burger King will be on your right.

You know it’s a good lunch spot when all the tables are full and you have to stand around with your tray full of food waiting for people to leave.(Folks, stop your yappin’, eat your food, and get back to work). The Italian food is good here. I would say that it is comparable to V&T in hackey-sack. Clementes is better though. Why am I giving 4 stars when I gave V&T only 3. Well, this place is kind of hidden; on the bottom floor of a non-descript office building in Moonachie. So only people in the know, eat here. They were originally located on State Street in hackensack. But they relocated a few years ago without any notice. My colleagues tracked down this place. An extra star for the delicious food while staying on the down low.

what a great italian deli! this is a great option for lunch. They always have hot food which varies daily and you can get your cold cut sandwiches as well. They make their own fresh mozzarella every day as well! They also offer catering… i ordered chicken marsala, penne vodka, shrimp parm, stuffed sheels, and ceasar salad for NYE and my entire family loved it! Great food and even better owners!
