I’m pleased as punch to say lots of raving-good things about Dr. Patrick Shahan and the entire support staff and PA’s at Mountain View Medical. I’ve never had to wait more than 10m to see the doctor. I’ve been able to call in my prescription renewals when I travel, too. Courteous, friendly and very customer-centric driven. Highly recommended.

It’s a given now days that you should take your health into your own hands. It’s even more important at Mountain View Medical Group. I think the more informed you are the more likely you’ll feel like you’re at odds with the doctors and PA at this office. I generally find the support staff pretty friendly. Most the time they will even go out of their way to help you out. But for the most part, it’s been the only primary care place in town. That could be changing with the YMCA offering satellite service(although those can be expensive and sometimes you get multiple bills — another story). Overall, if you need some kind of obvious care, you’re probably okay. I agree with some others that the doctors and the PA can be a bit condescending(you’ll sense their political views — why would that even come up during a doctor visit). So all in all, you won’t die, but the experience leaves something to be desired.

BAD, BAD, BAD from the receptionist to the office manager to the doctor on-call; Dr. Roberts who couldn’t be bothered with my call about medication. Prescriptions that should be sent to the pharmacy but aren’t. It took 4 days to rectify! I came back to the office 3 times to receive a doctors note that was lost by the front desk. This is after I waited 45 minutes because the receptionist kept stating someone would«.be with you shortly…». After missing an appointment due to a neighborhood fire that took down our power & cell service for 6 hours, I was told by management that there would be no charge. I rescheduled the appointment for two days later since they couldn’t get me in the same day. However, 3 weeks later I received a bill for the same«no show» charge I was told(and received a letter in the mail) I wouldn’t be charged! This office is so outdated that they don’t have voice mail — so all messages are handed to doctors on paper! What? Now it’s understood why nothing gets done.

My doc(Doctor Jaeger) was ok but Mountain View Medical Group is in the wrong century. I changed insurance carriers and the new carrier requires that my doctor fill out some form. I asked if I could e-mail the clinic the form in anticipation of my visit and they said: «We don’t do e-mail!» Can you believe it! I don’t want to deal with any doctor who isn’t up on technology from the last 2 – 3 decades. The other thing I don’t like is that they always make me wait. I’m always there on time but I always end up sitting around for 10 – 15 minutes waiting for the doctor to see me. Why is their time more important than mine?

Never, ever have I been more disappointed in a doctors office! Mr. Schlacter is a first class jerk. Zero compassion! If you are expecting personalized care… go somewhere else!

Perry Schlachter PA and Dr. Shahan are the best ever! We changed over from CSHP on Dublin. The office manager is a pain to deal with(at least its only been twice) but EVERYONEELSE(except PA Gayleen-she has the personality of a wet towel, and is about as smart as one. IMO) is absolutely awesome. Great place with easy staff and access.

We go to their PA… Perry Schlachter. Couldn’t be happier. Perry should be a doctor, very intelligent, very educated.
