Stumbled upon this gem cause my fiancée had a craving for coffee. Me? I don’t drink much coffee but figured hey why not get a drink for the ride home. They had a Cherry Almond Latte that was out of this world! If they opened a location in Denver, I would spoil myself here so much. The staff is professional and polite. They strike up conversation and don’t rush customers along like other popular coffee places. definitely will be back. Might even make a trip down here just for a cup of java!

I’ve never really ventured into Monument but was jonesing for some coffee on my way back to Denver from CO Springs. I searched my trusted Unilocal app and found It’s a Grind near with a 50% off check in offer for any drink – sold! There was one guy working and another girl working(not sure what she was doing in the onesie bathroom for so long but I waited a good 10 minutes for her to be done). I ordered my standard iced latte and my boo ordered some magical drink – the Cherry Almond Latte. While I usually love my lattes, it was good, but after taking a sip of his, atuomatically had drink envy! His drink is what dreams are made of – rich, sweet and smooth – talk about a wonderful drink! They guy at the counter was nice enough but gingerly took his time making everything. The atmosphere is a funky, coffeehouse feel, I really loved it and if I lived in the area would most like go in and hunker down for some free wi-fi action. Worth a try, especially if you use the check in offer!

I think it’s probably my favourite coffee shop. The staff are always very friendly and offer wonderful service. They make their coffee well and I’ve never had a mistake like other places. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable, and they have a fireplace and six cushy armchairs. It’s a great place for all ages.

Solid coffee, good service, decent atmosphere. It worked for what I needed, but I don’t think I will be a regularly. I enjoy some of the local competition drink options and atmosphere better.

There used to be an It’s a Grind in Colorado Springs. It was my favorite coffee shop until it went out of business years ago… boohoo :(Now, this is the only It’s A Grind left in the area. They have the best blended coffee drink combinations on the front range. Their Large size is beyond large… it’s massive AND their prices are steep but don’t let that stop you. Don’t waste your money at Starbucks. It’s A Grind has never disappointed. You’ll never want to drink a nasty Starbucks Frap again after going here.

Im giving this coffee shop just 2 stars because of the poor customer service. I have bought coffee here 20 times or more since I live in Jackson Creek just a few miles away… the coffee is nothing special its fine and you get free refills… it’s kind of nice to have a choice of coffees they have several lined up right in the front… that’s the good part… the bad part is that every single person who has ever checked me out seems to be a little bit grumpy it’s usually kids between 18 and 25 and they’re just snooty at best rude at worst. Not all of them are young I’ve actually run into some grumpy older workers there as well. I actually called be owner a couple years ago about it and he concurred that he did have a problem finding good faithful loyal help but the attitudes of the workers hasn’t changed much so I would say its a management problem… a lot of times if you have a grumpy manager all the employees will be grumpy and conversely if management and ownership smiles and is upbeat and positive and happy to help then the employees reflect that. I love to support my little community here in Monument I love that there’s a little local personally owned coffee shop here other than Starbucks but the owner needs to work on instilling some good positive values in his millennial employees. They seem to just almost be hostile towards the customers like a couple of times I’ve asked what they might recommend for a drink and they just seem really put off and snooty kind of looking at each other like gosh we got another idiot here or something its just that snooty kind of entitlement meant millennial attitude that you get from a lot of young kids these days… Okay so I am speaking this review into my phone my husband had no idea who I was reviewing but he called from the other room and said you’re talking about it’s a grind aren’t you lol I said yep he said that’s the exact same attitude I get everytime I go there and he said it’s not just the young people working there. Okay one other complaint anyone of us with half a brain could sit down in a day or two, a week at the longest and learn just about everything there is to know about the basics of coffee and tea, which has the most caffeine which is the healthiest if green tea has antioxidants which coffee is the strongest just basic things about the most sold drinks but every time I’ve ever asked any of those kinds of basic questions like what has the most caffeine to anybody at its a grind I get that same god you’re so stupid for asking look and then they don’t know there’s a lot of and stuttering excetera the owner needs to make everybody go through a 4 or 8 hour course on coffee and tea is just basics. I still go there because it’s so stinking convenient to get a cup of coffee on my way to Home Depot or Walmart but I really wish it was the more enjoyable experience I love my little community and it’d be great to have some local owned friendly businesses in town that really make our community happy smiling pleasant place to be and to hang out.

Very comfortable and laid back environment. I’ve been coming here for years and usually enjoy it. It can get a little crowded once and a while. Staff is always friendly. Don’t listen to Myra B. She is a grumpy pants that gives almost every place one star.

Got a black coffee and an egg-and-cheese bagel sandwich. Good coffee, good food, awesome service. The staff members here are all really efficient and friendly.

This place is horrible so I stopped going. First, I always ordered a cappuccino dry. About 95 percent of the time it’s super wet – a big old sloshing keg of diluted watery swill. They pay no attention to my order. Then if I say something about the fact that the drink is not what I ordered they argue. Second, they frequently overcharge. Since I always ordered the same drink I know how much it costs, unless the price increased(which it never did). On multiple occasions they’ve overcharged me then when I point that out they argue. Third, their food is inedible. Disgusting. These are the reasons I no longer go there.

Best coffee & tea in the Springs! Their drinks and pastries are much, much better than Starbucks or other chains. The environment is absolutely wonderful, too. It’s great to sit down in here and chill out with some good company. The only complaints I have are that sometimes, in the afternoons, they are a little slow. But still five stars for me, because I love this place!

The coffee is delicious here. Love me some caramel latte’s…need to cut down if anything… A friend of mine had the berry smoothie and loved it. I was a little jealous that morning. Only complaint would be the choc-chip cookie I tried was like a brick. Might have slipped through their daily refreshing… the baked goods are usually superb! I would highly recommend the choc-chip muffin or the lemon loaf. Yummmmm

It’s A Grind is Starbucks with a different name. If you like Starbucks chances are you probably like these guys. Same type of drinks… Latte, fraps, chai tea… Muffins, pastries. I got the white chocolate mocha– It was good, but again something you can kinda get at any coffee shop. Same routine as Starbucks and etc for ordering. It’s A Grind is like old faithful… you’re not getting anything really special that you can’t get at a number of other places… But it’s still good if your in the coffee mood.

This is a nice little coffee shop. I ordered a chai with vanilla and a lemon bar. I wish I would have remembered to ask if the chai was sweet on it’s own, as the vanilla made it really sweet. My mistake, though. The lemon bar was pretty good. We will definitely consider stopping here if we get a chance as we’re passing through. The only thing they need is a counter for the drinks they have finished making. But, receiving it right from the smiling barista was nice, too.
