Two things brought me in, a sign that said home cooking and a full parking lot. Breakfast is cheap. I had corned beef hash and eggs Can’t beat the price $ 5 for breakfast lol.

Mama’s has nailed the «comfort food» menu! I was nervous to go in cause it looks like a kind of «locals only» kinda place but I went in cause I was on the road and starving and curious and hoping they would have things like a good old BLT or ham & cheese sandwich for me to take-​out.
Service was quick! Super-​friendly and nice. The diners in there all smiled and joked with me. It was a NICE place :) I am totally going back all the time now. It’s halfway between Roanoke & Bedford, up on a hill. I highly recommend it to other Unilocalers! Ps — the cornbread was clearly made from scratch and was a nice dry old-​fashioned cornbread not sweet-​cakey.

Drop in here occasionally. Waitress is warm and friendly, service is pretty fast (unless real busy), and prices are decent. Food is not consistent. Sometimes excellent, sometimes so-​so. Will probably continue to drop in occasionally. If food would be good all the time (consistently so), would purpose to go there more often.
