First — this is almost an awful name. TWIGSANDTHINGS sounds like the stuff that you find on the edge of an inner-city river(like twigs and cans and poop and an old shoe). That said — there is also something magical and Hobbitish about the name, like a walk in the Shire(where you find twigs and mushrooms, and bird’s nests, and a Pub). All Jokes aside, this is essentially a candle shop. And it carries a lot of candles. There are other things too, like fake distressed bedside tables, little Victorian style nick-knacks, cards, and odds-n-ends that seem to fit the theme. But it is 80% candles. I saw some large candles here that cost upwards of $ 50, but most were smaller and cost around ten bucks. The woman who manned the store(not the owner) was older(as I assume the owner is — the place just felt like that — like some«peace-child» from the early seventies opened her dream store of hippy love-candles, and the store is still here). Funny thing is — when I took pictures saying that they were for Unilocal, the woman looked at me with suspicion, obviously not understanding completely what Unilocal is. So I am assume that they do not process their accounts on a database, but rather on note cards and a rolla-dex… just like my mom did. This is a nice place to browse in during your stroll down this quaint little shopping street in Montrose.

This is a very nice store. It has that hometown feeling. The staff is polite and always willing to help. The selection of candles is amazing. I have been going to this store for 20 years! You should take the time to stop by and see what they have :) B.M.

It was so cool. I went in to get a birthday present, and Cindy remembered what I had bought from her… last year!

One of the cutest little stores I have ever been too. Has pretty home décor and a variety of candles. The owner and her daughter are very sweet and willing to put as much time as it takes until they find the perfect scent for their customer. The owner gave me a very good deal on an item I wanted to buy because she agreed it was over priced. Very nice family run business with great customer service. I’ve bought all my candles from here and it was all worth the price. They also have the greatest hippie looking candle holders for teens that are looking to decorate their rooms with zen stuff.

Crabby salesperson who had no interest in helping me today, Sunday July 28th. Too bad, it’s a quaint gift shop. I’m sure the owner would not have appreciated her attitude towards a customer.

If you love candles they have got um! The owner cindy will bend over backwards to help you assemble something fantastic! I needed a lady bug candle and she was able to make a custom one for me and did not charge extra for assembly!
