I love J Lauren Hair Studio. They are professional and have a fun friendly atmosphere! I’ve been going to Jade for years and always love my hair. I get compliments every time I leave. I recommend this hair studio to all my friends and family. Great people. great prices!

After spending more than I wanted to to get my hair styled for an event, I was pretty unhappy with the way that it turned out. I had a picture all ready, and my stylist, Florence, seemed confident that she would be able to do it. But my simple curling and pinning back ended up with poofed bangs (which was not what I had requested) and curls that fell flat in under an hour! I ended up unpinning it and redoing it myself! I had previously been pretty happy with J Lauren Hair Studio, but I do not think that I will be returning.

First off, I am a VERY easy going client/​customer. I came to this salon to get my hair dyed purple. Florence was the one who worked with my hair. After paying over $ 100 I did not get why I had asked for. (I even brought a reference picture of EXACTLY what I wanted) and she accepted my request. The result was not what I had asked for. Only the bottom of half of my hair had color and it was a pinkish violet color. I kindly called the salon back stating that I had not gotten the result that I wanted. If I had paid less money I probably would not have cared. Florence was quick to schedule a follow up appointment so she could fix it for free. After my second visit she had basically just stripped the color back out and left me with an ombré copper shade that did not have a single hint of purple. The whole time she was talking about how purple it was. I did not complain since it was already the second time I visited. I simply decided that I am not going to be returning to this salon. I paid over $ 100 for my hair to get damaged from all the unnecessary processing and I still never got what I wanted in the first place.

Florence Jenks @ J. Lauren hair studio is the best! My daughter got red highlights & hair cut. She’s very happy with the results. Florence is knowledgeable and friendly, as is the staff. Looking forward to making Florence my go to hair stylist!

.J.Lauren is a one stop studio. The energy is positive and staff is great. Had my hair done by FLORENCE JENKS she’s the best at High Lights and Low Lights and if you don’t know know you know Hight Lights are in for Fall.

I have been going to J. Lauren hair studio for many years. Jade is the owner and is truly a professional, always on time and always there. The salon is really nice with a classy warm vibe and easy parking. Haircut is $ 40.00 and is well worth it. If you need a color she is the best. It really does deserve 5 stars

There is a reason that Jade is the only person to ever cut my hair (besides the time I allowed my older sister to play hair salon with me in preschool, and I’m pretty sure Jade was the one to fix the end result of that as well). Even when I was in Texas for 4 years, I would make sure to book an appointment at J lauren during my visits home. I usually have an idea of what I want when I go in, but always trust Jade to do whatever she thinks is best. I have received numerous compliments on my hair throughout the years, and always feel great when people ask me where I get it done. The actual studio is hip in décor and in a very cute little shopping town. Everybody is very accomadating to ensure you are comfortable by offering water, snacks, and reading material. Love this place!

Jade has cut my hair for decades. She is as hard working and pro as when I first met her.

I haven’t been in awhile, but I’m on a roll Unilocaling businesses that I have been to many times. The staff is really nice here, they make you feel welcome and the prices are okay. BUT, the only person who is not that nice is the owner. She walks around with a face that looks like she thinks she is «all that». No smile, nose in the air. All the employees are sweet, talkative, nice, but the owner, «not so much». I’d still go, just would never have her work on my head no matter how good she is. I feel bad for writing the review, but she really needs to smile now and then and join in conversations, etc.

I travel from Santa Monica to Montrose to get my hair cut by Christina … and have been doing so for almost 10 years. I’m super low-​maintenance, so Christina has created a stylish short cut that requires almost no styling. In fact, I was on a business trip and forgot to bring a brush. No problem! I used my fingers and the hotel hair dryer, and my hair looked great. I have always left the salon feeling confident and great.

Christina has been doing a bang-​up job on my highlights for over a year now… No one else in this town has been able to get it right… until I went to her! I love, love, love my highlights! 5 big stars!

Jade H owns J Lauren Studio. I have been going to Jade to get my hair done for over 25 years. She is a master colorist and a very talented stylist. The salon is located on Honolulu Avenue in the quaint town of Montrose. It is very clean, charming and professional. I would recommend J Lauren Studio to anyone.

I LOVE this place! Christina is a genius with color! I don’t trust anyone else with my color! She thinks of the best styles for me! I let my hair grow out for 6 months and I am still getting compliments on my haircolor!

A nice clean place on a super cute street. A haircut here is apparently $ 40, but I lucked out when my friend took me here the other day; they have a special for new clients so I paid only $ 35. My friend has gone to Jade (the owner) for several years, even though it is a bit of a drive for her, and swears by her.
I got a long overdue cut and Jade was really terrific with her scissors — very happy with the results and I will definitely be back.

Wooo Hooo is right… Jade Huston the owner is the best colorist this side of the Rockies… her hair cuts are pretty awesome too!
