My husband and I stayed at the Kakanee Cabin for 5 nights and it couldn’t have been more wonderful. Larry who is the owner is very attentive to your needs. The RV grounds as well as ALL grounds are meticulous ! We can’t wait to go back !!!

This campground is conveniently located right off highway 50, so it is easy to find. It is ideally located for many day adventures up little Cimarron or Big Cimarron road. It is a beautiful 20 minute drive to the Black Canyon turnoff and a short drive to Blue Mesa. There are full hookups if you have a camper, a tenting area, a large hunting lodge for group accommodations and lovely log cabins. I stayed in one of the large cabins, which have a great loft area, full kitchen and bathroom. Despite being a campground with an exquisite backdrop they have wifi and satellite TV. You choose to settle down with a nice book, go for a walk or watch the game!
