Best Appliance Sales And Service

Bought a new GE electric range and dishwasher from Best last November. We wanted to buy from a locally owned business. The salesperson was friendly and helpful. We bought floor models. The crew that delivered and installed the appliances were careful, helpful and prompt. The range is great, and has been problem free.
The dishwasher is another story. We replaced our old Admiral dishwasher because it was no longer cleaning well, and getting progressively noisier. The new dishwasher looks great and had all the features we wanted. It’s stainless steel and was rated as fairly quiet. We were very disappointed to find that it did not clean as well as our worn-​out old one. When we called Best to come out and have a look, the repairman came very promptly. He had a quick look at it, ran part of a cycle, and concluded that it was working just fine. He tried to tell us it was the fault of «the government» that it couldn’t clean adequately because of water conservation requirements. Unbelievable.
Over the course of a couple of weeks it got progressively louder, actually rattling the house. We called again and they sent a different repair crew. They had to re-​hang the motor, and agreed that it has problems. They said they needed to order new parts, and that it would take a week to ten days to get them. That was two months ago. I’ve called to inquire about following through with service, but apparently the repairman is recovering from an injury. Be that as it may, I find that Best Appliance does not stand behind the products they sell. We got a lemon that was not built well by GE. I would hope that Best would have worked with us and GE to make it right.
As things stand now, I do not recommend buying from this store. Disappointed in GE too. If Best eventually makes good on this issue, I’ll update the review to reflect that.

Great store, great people. Have everything and more you could want from an appliance store. Very knowledgeable staff.
