Applebee’s

To me it tastes like they put about 2 cups of salt in their burgers/​steaks — just cannot eat it — they get them pre-​seasoned so you cannot order just a steak without all the salt on it. They had an excellent chicken sandwich but it was removed from the menu to I don’t eat here anymore.

Food and waitress where great, Didn’t feel welcoming the hostess was not polite and didn’t acknowledge our arriving. Need to change the hostess in the evening.

We were seated and waited 20 minutes without being greeted by wait staff or even offered a water. We generally avoid big chains and this is exactly why. Our bad. We won’t be back.

I had the four cheese bacon & chicken tenders dish and it was good size portion & AWESOME!!!

Customer service was nice. Food was pretty good for being a chain. One entrée ordered was the 7 oz. steak. It seemed really tiny but tasted okay. Everything else was okay not Wow! but okay.
We did try out the new computer on the table not to order but just to pay. I thought that part was slick. It was nice to not have to hand over your credit card to a stranger. On the flip side I thought it was sad that even going out to dinner society feels like we need to be entertained (you can buy games to play while you wait for your food). I can see how this might be helpful for kids but don’t most people have a phone for that? What happened to just talking and enjoying being together? I also thought this is one more way to take out the person to person interaction with the restaurant staff and replace it with computers. Oh well, what can you do? That’s the way our world is heading.
Overall, I’d say it was an okay experience. Nothing exciting and memorable either negative or positive.

Food is not good at all and overpriced. I told the waitress it was my 6 year old daughters birthday and they never cane out to sing to her, she was disappointed about that.

Service leaves something to be desired. Food is typical chain restaurant food. Don’t have the steak you will be disappointed. The new remodel isn’t that great. I do like the hometown high school photos though. Also the freaking place was freezing cold during the summer. Wth!!!

Yes, I went to a national chain. I tend to stay away, but sometimes it is unavoidable (they are not all bad, just boring. but on the other hand can also be somewhat «safe» in an unknown area where options and information are limited)
Anyhoo, server was nice, teas refilled, etc. My steak was overcooked (ordered medium rare and it was more medium well) and the baked potato undercooked. The food, as is always the case with a place catering to the most people possible, is safe and edible.
The location is easy to find, just south of town across the street from Target.
