Stopped here on our way to New Hampshire. Very quaint. Friendly people, cute goats you can feed, delicious samples of all things maple, and snack bar. I would have given it more stars, but the informational video wasn’t on. We had hoped to learn more about how syrup is processed. Otherwise, a fun place to spend some time.

We noticed this spot from a flyer at the inn we were staying at. The flyer noted the maple creemee, syrup options, and tour — and We were sold! We almost forgot about the creemee in checking out the property… but do not make that mistake! The portion was generous and the flavor was outstanding. All in all, it was a perfect stop on our Vermont day trip.

We began our adventure at Morse Farms by indulging in the famous Maple Creemee with maple dust. Being someone who typically doesn’t indulge in sweets but very rarely, I must say that I’m thrilled that I used the calorie intake I typically reserve for savory indulgences on this creamy, delicious, cone of heaven. This is an absolute must have when at this farm. Next, we took our time perusing everything this lovely shop has to offer. The various wares include anything from the delicious maple syrup, various jams, truffles, delicious nuts, to Vermont t-shirts, mugs, socks, kitchen accessories and much, much more. We decided to order several bottles of the local maple syrup and have them ship it for us so as not to risk an exploded bottle of sticky in our luggage. We had a lovely conversation with the employees who were so unbelievably friendly and even suggested a local restaurant for us once they overheard that we were hungry. Now, here is where the 5 stars really came in. When we walked outside my brother spied delicious apples by the front door that he hadn’t noticed on our way in. As he went to grab and few and come in to pay, the sweet woman we’d been speaking with opened the door, grabbed a paper bag and told us to take a few on the house! Wow. That is country hospitality at its very finest! Thank you for a lovely experience Morse Farms!

We heard and read so much about this place, its the oldest maple sugar house in Vermont(200 years) and 9 generations. We are very determined to come here to do the maple syrup tastings. It’s a charming, rustic old cabin style store with very nice employees. However, we were not too thrilled with the syrup, it was average. Well, that is our personal taste bud as we prefer stronger maple taste to it. There are other local products such as mustard, honey, etc., for tasting too.

A few weeks ago my family was going for a ride and our car broke down right next to Morse family farm. We pulled into the parking lot and spoke with the girls behind the counter. The owner then proceeded to come out and give my husband as many tools as he would need to fix the car along with driving him to the local parts store. This saved us quite a bit of money and trouble. Our kids loved the farm and the store was great. The best part was knowing that there are people that are still around that are willing to help others! We can’t thank you enough!

Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks was a fun place to walk around. I felt like the founder/owner was a pretty entrepreneurial guy who liked to have fun, demonstrated by the various wood animals placed around the grounds. I didn’t buy any maple products here because we still have several weeks of travel ahead of us and I don’t want anything to leak in my suitcase and ruin my stuff, but I enjoyed the grounds of the farm. The theatre was really cool, as were the previously mentioned wood animals. I did try a maple creemee and it was good, but it was a little too sweet for my taste and I actually preferred the maple creemee from Burlington Bay Market & Café. This is worth a stop and a walk around to enjoy the space they created.

I came by this beautiful farm on Labor Day weekend and was pleasantly surprised with the selection of maple products. I was quite pleased with the hospitality of the owner, who is the 9th generation on this farm, and with his opening the shop a little early since I arrived before it officially opened its doors.

I have been on a hunt for the best creemee in VT for about 3 years now and have been up and down the state numerous times looking for the greatest version of this frozen treat. By the way, Creemee is a thick frozen custard often flavored with maple that is always dispensed straight from the machine. Bad Creemee spots will just sell you soft serve. Well, of the hundreds of creemee places scattered throughout VT, this place is the second best which means it is very amazing. The creemee tastes even more mapley than the hands-down best creemee in VT at The Creemee Stand in Wilmington. Also, great maple sugar topping. Conveniently, these two creemee capitals are actually found at polar opposite sides of the state so it works out pretty perfectly depending which end of VT you are on. Anyway, what other creemee places do not have are huge amounts of ridiculously high quality maple syrup, maple candies, and maple kettle corn like this place does. This spot also has some creepy statues and fun little nooks for kids. TLDR: While this is the second best creemee in VT after Creemee Stand, it deserves 5 stars for being better than the literal sea of other creemee spots that can be found in the state. It is a bit of a drive but well worth it.

Caters to buses of tourists, twice the price on some syrup items compared to another farm close by and the creamees were so bad, we threw them away after two bites. The sample section was run by a woman who wasn’t the friendliest so we avoided it. I’d say go to the other place first then come here and compare for yourself.

Dated, quaint and small. Wonderful maple syrup, candies and creemies… But pay attention to the road — if you sneeze, you are going to miss it. They have all sorts of nic-knacs, interesting, but nothing to really bring home. The family takes pride in their craft, so support local producers and bring home some tree sugar!!!

What a personal treasure. Fun, informative, cultural and tasty. Take time to enjoy their short video, walk their maple trail and chat with the son.

This place was charming but quite dated. We were excited when we read about their maple trail but it didn’t turn out to be much — it was basically taking a short walk in the woods surrounded by pipes and tubes hanging on trees. Don’t expect to see the traditional maple buckets. They also provide an informational video guide but it was very outdated in terms of quality and content. The store had a good selection of items but their prices are a dollar or so higher than Bragg Farm Sugar House. The cremee was better at Bragg too!

There are plenty of places in Vermont to find maple products, and by that I mean plenty. It’s everywhere. Morse Farm is a bit different. For starters, it looks a bit like a cabin, so that’s nice — you’re still buying touristy stuff, but at least it’s in a nice place. Beyond that, you have a very large selection of product. You can find maple(insert product here) of just about any variety, and of course you can find all sorts of other goodies too. One thing that I really don’t get — and this isn’t a knock only on Morse — is that they have these jars lined up for jams or jellies or whatever, like you’re buying something straight out of the field, and if you look at the label, it comes from several states away. I hate that. Anyway, the other nice thing about Morse is that they have this little diner attached. You mosey up to the counter, place your order and then sit at the table and eat. Nice, right? Well, it could be. We happened to be there during«sugar on snow» season, which is when they are making their syrup(generally defined as the spring). It turns out that they pour the hot syrup on the snow, and you get this taffy-like mess. Why is it called sugar on snow, when they use syrup? No idea. I mean it has plenty of sugar in it, but it’s syrup. What makes the whole process a bit of a mess is that you can order the sugar on snow, and it costs you $X. Or you can order the sugar on snow, plus a drink, and something else(bread? fruit? pickle? frankly, I don’t recall everything involved) — and it costs you right around the same amount. If you should then decide, while placing your order, that you want to add a drink, and only a drink to your sugar on snow, it will cost you more than if you order everything. Go the distance, order the whole thing and just throw away what you don’t want. Seriously. Strange but true. Overall it’s probably worth a stop if you haven’t seen maple elsewhere, or if you haven’t had sugar on snow elsewhere. But the odd snow-cone consistency(it’s not really snow) with taffy on top is a bit odd otherwise.

MAPLEGOODIES!!! Oh my, my… I bought all kinds of goodies to take home and the popcorn didn’t even make it to the airport! The pure maple cream was delightful, I wish I got another jar. I got dark amber maple syrup and that was delicious. Only thing I looked forward to having here but didn’t because it was not available on the day we came, was maple soft serve. It is definitely a stop if you’re in Montpelier.

If you are a fan of maple, from«sorta» to full-fledged obsessee, and find yourself anywhere near Montpelier, Vt., you must visit Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. And if you make the trek, whether at –20° F or 95° F, do not miss Morse Farm’s maple creemee, the maple-flavored, Vermont-ubiquitous soft-serve treat. Though totally unnecessary, and hopelessly decadent, I recommend getting the maple sugar topping on your creemee as well. Because if there’s anything a sweet, maple-y icy treat needs, it’s more sweet maple. Of the crunchy variety. Morse Farm has tons of maple treats throughout its extensive gift shop, but I also wholeheartedly recommend the maple cream. I don’t know what anyone needs maple cream for, but it tasted like gooey brown sugar heaven in a jar, but better. They have samples in store, but let’s face it. You’ll need more. Probably just to be eaten out of the jar in spoonfuls. Before you leave, be sure to get your photo taken at the cardboard cutout near the model Vermont State House to confirm that you’re a S.A.P., Morse Farm lingo for«Syrup Appreciating Person.»

it’s a really nice place… rustic wood everywhere. I was there the day of their annual all you can eat pancake fest… with cupfuls of maple syrup. It felt like a very family affair. Definitely a fun stop if you’re poking around the state.

Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. It’s definitely a fantastic little spot in Montpelier that is worth trying if you are visiting and know and love if you live there. As a family owned maple farm in Vermont, you know in order to compete you better be good, and they do not disappoint. They have all different grades and styles for your liking and provide you with a variety of other Vermont based products to take home with you or to try on location. You have the opportunity while you are there to explore around the property and see how they came to be with the little history bits on property. The view is amazing from the back porch and what a perfect place to enjoy a maple cremee. That’s right, I said it; the maple kind. Come ready to knock back a maple cremee fresh on the spot while you peruse the rest of the store or take in the breathtaking views from the patio. When you are finished, make sure you pay for the Grade A Fancy syrup you are hoarding from your friends and enjoy in the comfort of your own home. There is plenty of parking in the lot but if it’s hot, street parking maybe the only option. Flying back home? No problem, they can ship anywhere :)

Definitely dated and a little worn but that’s how it should be. The tour is self guided and begins with a 17 minute video from the 70’s featuring«Vermont cuss words» — lol, basically racial and ethnic slurs, gotta love it. The farm is very cool though, still operating as it did since it began aside from a few hardware upgrades. The gift shop is great, tons of VT themed items. As well as maple syrup to purchase and taste. The people are very friendly too. If you’re in the area, it’s a must see!
