We got a double sump and french drain system installed in our basement a little over a year ago. We live out of state, and rent our home so coordination with contractors is sometimes difficult but Northern Basement Systems’ staff is prompt, friendly and thorough. Once the job began, their work was amazing, very fast but phenomenal quality, and they were very courteous to our renter. The staff member we’d coordinated with took the trip up to our home to review the work with the site foreman and kept us constantly updated. The basement looked fantastic immediately after they finished. Fast forward to now, about a week ago our renter noticed standing water in the basement so Northern Basement Systems came out same-day for a service call. They determined that it wasn’t a part of the system they installed, but was a fitting on a pipe that was leaking. They fixed the pipe and didn’t even charge us! Our tenant texted raving about how polite they were this time around as well. Definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for basement waterproofing solutions. Their service has garnerd them customers for life from our family.

This company and people are solid! We had several inches of water in our basement for a decade, and after other’s trying their solutions that failed, Northern Basements made our basement dry! Absolutely unbelievable, done in two days by an incredibly hard-working crew, and team to support them. Their additional products to make a basement livable are good, too.

Northern Basements installed a new triple sump pump system and cover(with battery back-up) last year in our basement. The old sump pump was… old and had no back-up in case of pump failure or a power outage, and the sump well was just an open stinky pit. This year, they came back(at our request) to add some extra drainage trenching to the sump well.(We wanted to make sure that if the washing machine or water heater leaked, the water would flow to the sump and not to the finished portion of the basement.) The pumps they install are high quality and usually reliable. We had two fail in two years however! For Northern Basements, this wasn’t a problem. They came back promptly both times, determined the problem, and replaced the pumps, all in the same visit. No muss no fuss. The pumps were under warranty, and they didn’t charge us for a service call either. So while I’m not happy with the pump manufacturers, I have to say that Northern Basement’s customer service is very, very good.
