Monticello Canoe Rental

I had such a fantastic canoe trip thanks to Monticello Canoe Rental. This is the schtick, you go there and follow the shuttle to Pictured Rocks and leave your car there and get a lift back to the rental place. $ 25-​$ 35 dollars later you can get a canoe or a kayak and jump in the water. I chose a canoe as I was by myself and wanted to lay down and float occasionally. They give you a life jacket which makes for a comfy pillow. 7.5 miles later you get to Pictured Rocks and put your canoe on the bank. It was a beautiful, lazy, float that I thoroughly enjoyed. Only downside was that I forgot a beach towel and food for a picnic. There are a few sandy spots you can pull over and chill so I laid on the canoe, which was comfy, but would have loved to have a picnic with a couple of brews. It took me a little less than 4 hours to paddle/​float this section of the river section.
