Everything we ordered (except for the fries) was nasty and didn’t taste like normal McDonalds. We ordered 3 different McCafe drinks and they all tasted funky and ended up getting thrown out.

I love McDonald’s so giving it high rankings for food is a no brainer — so shoot me for my plebeian taste. What is unique about this McDonald’s is that it is one of the nicest McDonald’s restaurants I have ever been to, not including the Rock ‘n Roll McDonald’s in Chicago. This must be one of their new, improved, café style redesigns. It’s apparent a lot of money went into building this place, and it works. It does lure people in because it’s always crowded and the parking lot is always full. I do think the prices are higher than your average small town or highway rest stop McDonald’s, but then, Monticello is also a tourist town in the summer.
