Even if there was a Home Depot, Menard’s and Lowes in town, we would still be stopping at Ace Hardware because they have the corner on odd size screws, bolts, fasteners and other small things that the big stores don’t carry because not enough people buy them. If you have hobbies like ours, building clocks and dollhouses, they are the closest thing to a hobby store in town. They also have a nice selection of plants, garden tools, plastic Adirondack chairs, and bird seed in the spring. I would even recommend going to Ace before you go to any of the local nurseries for your flowers in spring because they really are cheaper, have an amazing selection(boxwood topiaries!) and will special order whatever they can for you. Can’t beat their customer service. Yes, they are more expensive than the box stores and Rural King, but again, they also have specialty items the others don’t. The service in this store is exceptional, and everyone is genuinely nice and helpful. The store is conveniently located between Kroger and Rural King.
