I used to love ordering from Tomatino’s back in the nineties. It was good pizza, good people, and good t-shirts in Old Cloverdale. After they opened there was no more ordering from dominos or anywhere else for that matter. They offered me a job. But I decided I couldn’t quit my first job at Derk’s so soon after starting it. I’d love to get back and have some pie again. Until then.

I’ve had a lot of pizza in my day, and personally, I’m not a fan. I was really excited to go here after it was recommended to me by a local and after seeing its reviews on Unilocal. However, this was one of the worst vegetarian pizzas I have tasted. While there was a good portion of toppings, there was just very little flavor and the pizza was burnt. I ordered wine, which came out in a small cup, rather than anything even resembling a wine glass, and our waters came out in plastic cups. However, my friends ordered the Supreme pizza and they seemed to the think that was pretty good.

Atmosphere: very quaint and eclectic. Not good for large groups. Very cozy! Food: I’ve been here twice and both times I have left saying«best pizza in Montgomery!!» I never feel gross after eating here either like some pizza places. They use fresh ingredients. Service: Woukd have given 5 stars but they seemed understaffed both times I went. Come on management. Drinks: Beer & wine Outdoor Seating: some small tables and chairs Would I recommend: Yes

Great atmosphere. Delicious pizza with tons of toppings and options. Probably one of the bests pizza crusts I’ve ever had. Price was fair, not cheap, but not too pricey either.

Great Zah, so far it leads the pack in Montgomery. Awesome service — overall, solid hole-in-the-wall pizzeria! Nestled in the heart of Cloverdale; happy that Über is now available!

Their pizza is so good! It’s baked hot and fresh. You can grab a couple beers, sit outside and order and just relax as fresh hot deliciousness is dropped off at your table. The inside is a little cramped, so I’d recommend sitting outside and letting passers-by see and smell your delicious prize as you eat it in front of them! Make sure to laugh extra loud with a mouthful of pizza, you may not win friends but the experience is waaaay more satisfying!

This restaurant located in Old Cloverdale is a sweet little spot. It is a very small restaurant with only approximately 7 tables inside and 4 or so tables outside. My husband and I ordered a large pizza and ate it outside. You order at the counter and they bring your drinks and food to your table. On our large pizza we did a ½ and ½ topping. I had the Margherita pizza and my husband ordered the sicilian pizza. I did not try his but he said his had more flavor than mine but I would hope so. He had tons of different toppings and mine was a simple pizza. My husband said multiple times during dinner«Wow this is really good.» I would have to agree. The crust was better than most pizza crusts I’ve had and the sauce used was yummy! The toppings were fresh. The overall experience was great. While we were sitting outside there were so many people that came to pick up their orders and the register always seemed to be crowded. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our pizza which is long but we were in no hurry so I did not mind. We would go back there for pizza but we live to far away and I’m pretty sure they do not deliver and if they do it is probably just a local delivery in Old Cloverdale.

Finally and after a long search, I found a decent pizza place south of the Mason-Dixon Line. I ordered the Bianca and it was delicious. Especially liked that they added actual garlic cloves and not just the powder. The prices aren’t that bad for the quality and quantity of the food either. Otherwise the atmosphere is cool and the staff is friendly.

The garden salad with 13 vegetables is awesome. Enjoyed the salad and cheese sticks. My husband had the sausage and mushroom pizza. Both were great.

Great pizza, great service. It started filling up by the time we left, so earlier was better for us. It’s our Friday pizza place from now on. I like it much better than any other pizza place we’ve frequented since moving to Montgomery.

We stopped through town while road tripping and what a delight! We got a large pizza half Mediterranean half Sicilian and couldn’t be happier. Luckily we got a large so had leftovers. The Sicilian has house-baked meatballs and Alabama goat cheese, and caramelized onions. I am of the opinion that caramelized onions can really make a dish sing. It’s true in this case, for sure. The Mediterranean was delicious and fresh tasting as well.

Stopped while traveling on the road with our family. Elementary — age kids. Had delicious pizza! Kids ate cheese pizza and the cheese sticks, which is basically cheese pizza without sauce. Adults had the Sicilian pizza: roasted red peppers, sliced meat balls, Alabama goat cheese, and caramelized onions. Yum! They offer homemade regular, wheat, and gluten free crusts. GF is only for small sized pizzas. They are connected with the place next-door, which offers gelato, baked goods, etc. We were too full from dinner to take part, however. Very casual atmosphere. Booths, tables, and an area for a large group in the back. Great place! We hope to come back another time if we’re driving through.

I still would say this is the best pizza shop in town, without a doubt. You don’t need much convincing — just give it a shot! It will be worth your while! I’ve been going since 2004 and, through the updates in staffing, the quality of the pizza has not changed a bit.

We stopped in on the way back to Atlanta based on Unilocal reviews. Pretty good pizza and good service from this college pizza joint(and I mean that in a good way), but VERY limited menu, made even more limited by owner’s directive to make absolutely no changes to menu items. We were told that chicken on pizza could not be added to salads, and Greek salad could not be made without spinach.

Great little restaurant in a great area. Its like a total hole in the wall that makes great pizzas. We were lucky to be able to get a seat as there was about a one hour wait on the pizzas. Apparently this place has a ton of orders for pick up. But that didn’t keep us from enjoying the atmosphere with a couple beers. Once we did get our pizza, and ate it, we definitely understood why people love ordering from here.

Delish pizza, the best I’ve tasted in Montgomery! It’s the closest thing to thin crust I’ve found here. It’s thin until you get toward the outer edges then it gets way to thick, but that said it’s very good pizza… seriously, the best I’ve tasted in this area(and I’ve tasted a lot). It’s a bit pricey, but I’ll pay more for a good one. Had the meatball with caramelized onion! YUMMY! The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall literally. It’s pretty rundown, kind of beat up. We sat inside once, outside once. Service is fine. Service: Good, 4⁄5 Food: Good, 4⁄5(crust is too thick at outer edge) Value: Good, 4⁄5(a bit overpriced) Ambience: Very casual, a couple of outside tables too Would I return: Absolutely!

Ehhhh-okay. Service is unremarkable. Actually, awful. We had a party of three on a Saturday night. Once the pizza came out no one asked if we needed anything or how the food was. Our waters were never refilled. We actually had to flag the hostess down to request our check. The«large» pizza is only 15″, so its really a medium in disguise. The prices are very high for pizza, especially considering the demographics in the area. Pizza itself is mehhh. Not the worst I ever had but no where near«great.» I would call it «mediocre.» Fairly thick-crust-very bready. We also had the«cheese stick» app which came with ice-cold marinara which I’m 99% was from a can. If this restaurant was located in the Northeast it would not stand a chance with the competition. However, it is a decent spot if you want something low-key and easy in Montgomery.

A really cool local pizza place that I’ve been to a few times. The hostess/server at lunch was very friendly and helpful. The pizzas are really good and they have a good selection of toppings. The crust is perfectly thin and crisp; however, it seems a little bland to me. A cool place to get lunch or dinner in a trendy neighborhood.

Tomatinos is a great find in Montgomery. They have a friendly staff and tons of pizza options! It’s a bit expensive and seating is limited but if you are in the Montgomery area, you must try this local staple.

Finding ourselves in Montgomery on Labor Day(after a pleasant Sunday night downtown), we were disappointed to discover that the city rolls up the sidewalks on holidays and all of the stuff downtown remains closed. Resorting to Unilocal,I called around and couldn’t find anything open. We drove around until we found Tomatino’s. I’m glad that we found this oasis of gastronomic delight not far from the deserted wasteland of central Montgomery. There’s a fine balance between putting a substantial amount of toppings on a pizza and actually cooking a pizza to the point of doneness(is that a word?). Too little topping, you can get a cracking, well-done bottom crust every time. You also(or I could, at least) could eat an extra-large pizza constructed in that fashion by yourself and feel like you had worked to get fed. Too much topping and the bottom crust will rarely get brown(or brownish), maybe it even gets soggy, before the toppings are reduced to carbon molecules. Tomatino’s managed to both load that pie up with toppings AND get the bottom crust done to perfection. The top crust was even better, having a nice crunch and a delicious flavor(see picture for crusty goodness). We got a medium. Half meat, half combo. Neither of us could finish our half, so I took a go-box and had a snack half-way back to Pensacola. I’m pretty stingy with five-star reviews and I don’t wax hyperbolic about pizza often, but this was some absolutely incredible pizza. Beers, they got some that I had never seen or drank. As we were about to get on the road, I didn’t get crazy, but I did quaff a few. This is a small place and seating is dear, but we were cozy and it was a splendid cap to a fine weekend in Montgomery.
