There are two La Quinta Inns at exit 6 on Interstate 85 just to the east of the Montgomery city center. The hotels have separate listings on La and operate independently of each other. La Quinta A: Has an address of 1280 Eastern Blvd. This is a two-story motel where your room door opens on an exterior balcony that runs around the building. The rooms are pretty worn but clean. Our room had no washcloths and only 3 towels. La Quinta B: Has an address of 5225 Carmichael Rd. This is a three-story hotel that looks more like your standard La Quinta. Room doors open on an interior hallway as is the case with most modern hotels. We stayed in La Quinta A and had breakfast at La Quinta B. The breakfast bar at La Quinta A was really minimal and had no waffle irons and little to nothing of anything else. So we hiked across the parking lot to La Quinta B. While they had waffle irons, they had no batter and they also had really slim picking. My kids had cold cereal and the adults had toast and we left in 10 min. Both of these La Quintas are priced lower than your typical stay at La Quinta. There’s a reason for that. In amenities and feel, they were much more akin to a Motel 6 or Super 8. Just don’t stay here expecting anything nicer than a budget hotel and definitely don’t expect anything from breakfast. If I had to do it over I would have driven another hour or so find a better option in either Greenville or Auburn. If I had to stay in East Montgomery, there are better options at this exit(Holiday Inn Express, Courtyard by Marriot).

This motel is the pits. The room’s floor was dirty. The pool was murky with leaves floating on top. When I spoke to the hostess, she said she would have housekeeping look into the matter of the dirty room tomorrow. If there was a lower score than 1. I would give it. It just doesn’t hold up with the reputation of la Quinta inn. There’s a motel 6 down the road, I bet they are on the same level when it comes to housekeeping. I’ll look for different lodging when I’m back in this area.

It’s a decent hotel for what we paid. The room itself is spacious enough. There’s a desk and a tv+ stand. No fridge this said. The bathroom was clean. Check in was fast and staff friendly.

I think some of the other reviews shown are for the other«La Quinta Inn and Suites» hotel which has a Carmichael Road address. Make sure that you know which hotel you are booking at. There are two La Quinta Hotels side by side, so don’t do as we did and book the wrong one. This(Eastern Blvd) location is stuck in the 60’s or 70’s…very tired and badly in need of… actually being torn down and rebuilt if it is going to compete with the other nearby hotels. The Carmichael Road location(right next door) is a more modern LQ. That being said, we had the ‘apartment suite’ in the older Eastern Blvd location. It was huge! The walk-in closet was bigger that the bathroom and the living room was spacious. The room was generally clean and the bed was comfortable. There were no unusual smells or stains. It’s just a very dated hotel that hasn’t quite been turned into the ’boutique’ type. This hotel is right off of I-85 and conveniently located to many restaurants. The breakfast here is lacking… so if you want a good breakfast… drive the couple of miles to the Egg and I and enjoy.

This is a good hotel for a good price. Very friendly front desk clerk, Kim, was so polite and friendly. And even checked in with us with a phone call to unsure everything was up to par. Clean, and even the bed was good. Which I didn’t think it would be after sitting on it. But very comfortable. If you just want a clean and inexpensive place for the night, this will work!

I was trying to be cheap while driving across country. At $ 60 this hotel met that criteria. It’s probably the best hotel in the $ 50-$ 60 range i stayed at during the whole trip. The inside of the rooms have been renovated so they are new and clean. The bed was comfortable. They use the more washable comforters not the old crappy style. I checked for bed bugs and there were none. My main gripe was that the a/c was extremely loud. I just turned it off because it wasn’t too hot but jeeze it sounded like someone was about to drive through the wall every time it turned on.

We arranged to stay here after our wedding as a half way point on our trip to Panama City Beach for our honeymoon. I used Kayak to book the reservation. It was easy and the check in went smooth. It was conveniently located right off the interstate. We checked in late(around 10:00pm) the man working the desk was friendly and quick. We got to our room and were pleased at the size of the room and the bed. It was nicely decorated and clean. The shower had good strong water pressure and the towels were nice and soft. The bed was very comfortable, we had a very good night sleep, even over slept the next morning. I would recommend this hotel. The only issue I had was the bathroom toilet did not sit level and was annoying.

Hubby and I «lived» at this La Quinta for approximately six weeks while we were doing disaster relief with the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina(we were gone for a total of 3 months). During our time here we only took 3 days off and worked(volunteered) long, tiring 12+ hour days. The entire staff here took exceptional care of us. They knew we were in it for the long haul and made sure to place us in a room near the lobby so it was extra convenient for us to pop in every morning to grab a bite to eat from the complimentary continental breakfast before heading out for the the day. Because we were here for so long, our room really did turn into a home. We even decorated for Halloween and the entire staff all came to check it out. LOL The bed was comfy and each night was a good night’s sleep. After our long days, it was so nice to come«home» each night to a lovely, clean room. Our maid went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of to the best of her ability. Everything was always spotless and we had fresh towels, etc. every day. Because it was home for us, I had moved some things around in the room and had other things set up a certain way. Our maid never disturbed anything I «changed.» A huge, huge thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of us; it made it easier to help those who were truly the ones in need. :)
