I ordered a burger medium but it came out more than well done. The manager got another one going right away and the chef brought it straight to me. It was a very solid steakhouse quality burger and despite sitting there for 10 minutes with nothing in front of me while my friends ate, I walked away happy. The manager took care of my dinner and then sent free dessert to the table.

I came here with a group of 6 and we were easily accommodated. The waitress was friendly but she made one crucial mistake which I will address in a second. I ordered a burger which I must say was very good. One of my colleagues ordered a burger as well but it was completely over cooked. He sent it back. The waitress then proceeded to poke fun at him because we all had food and he didn’t. Not very professional if you ask me. Good news is that they comped his meal and gave us all free desert which was amazing by the way. The burger was the same price as one you would get at red robin but much better. Also the ambience was very nice here.

Good food. Zero issues with the meal. Although steak was under cooked, which they claimed was their«thing». I like medium rare… like the real medium rare, but this was literally seared only on both sides(less than a mm on a 1.25 inch 14 oz ribeye) and then straight up super cool rare in the middle. Same for my classmate, who asked for medium. His was just like mine. Service: sucked! Super crazy slow. Young courteous apologetic management and waiter, but just too distractingly slow. Really Wanted to like the place. And, would go again for the quality of the final product, but dang… they really struggled to serve us. Steaks were buttery and nice. Good baked potato and good classy pecan green beans. Food, once cooked properly was a five star, but can’t let the service go unchecked.

I ate lunch & dinner here. That’s says it all… Amazing! I don’t do a lot of carbs so this place was perfect!

Went on a weekday and had great service. Despite a few large parties being there, the food was wonderful and so was the waitress. I had some type of pasta, I believe it was a chicken pasta and it was fantastic ! The chicken was shredded nicely and not just chicken chunks like other restaurants. I highly recommend them.

Been here several times since they opened. Montgomery does not have that many nice restaurants, and I consider this restaurant to be a nicer restaurant. Atmosphere is low-lit, and the prices are a little higher than most restaurants in Montgomery. Good«date night» place. I think you’d rather have dinner here than lunch. Just my opinion. Ive had several meals here including pasta, steak, burgers, salads, and fish. The burgers are not much to write home about, but everything else has always been good. Never had any problems with service. I would totally recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a nicer night out.

Great service. Great food. A little chilly inside but everything was what I expected. Try the lobster queso dip for sure. Also a lot of things are back bacon wrapped to hold in the flavor but if you dije with the swine you’ll be ok. I would definitely go back. Was originally looking for a Ruth Chris in the area but I’m more than happy I stumbled across this restaurant thanks to Unilocal

Great Ruth Chris style steak house with $ 20 to $ 35 steaks… but if you are on a budget go for happy hour in the bar with $ 5 to $ 10 meals…4 to 6:30. We live loved the three mini tenderloin steaks $ 10, the tenderloin sliders $ 7, but we don’t recommend the grilled fish tacos.(Fish was dry and taco shells oddly mushy). Service was excellent and bar has five screens… all tuned to sports. Happy hour and the balance food is extremely high gh quality food at an affordable price.

One of my favorite places. Like outside. Thing I like is you can get a meal size salad and top it with a nice piece of salmon. Service and food always very good and consistent.

I’m not into steakhouses, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here! We were seated about 6pm on a Saturday(I thought it would be packed, but we somehow pre-empted the rush) by a very nice and attentive hostess. I was at the bar before my date arrived and was waited on hand and foot by the bartender, who humored me and my inability to handle a dirty martini. When we were seated our server Jess was always on hand to answer questions and refresh our drinks, and our entrees arrived quicker than expected. Aged prime rib and spicy chicken and shrimp pasta – both delicious. The big daddy chocolate cake was OVERKILL. Had to take it home. Overall I enjoyed the entire experience!

My crew selected Firebirds to steak me out for my 26th birthday. I thought it would be the typical American restaurant, but I was in for a surprise! The ambience is nice; it’s not classy, but it’s definitely more than casual jeans and a tee. and, the prices won’t break bank. They give a nicely baked loaf of bread and butter to start your evening. Mahi tacos — surprisingly really good and not fishy at all! beef sliders — super cute and actually taste like real mini burgers. I hate when sliders taste like McDonald’s dollar menu. Although they could’ve put more effort than one teenie weenie pickle in each slider as a condiment. Steak: I got the 16oz prime rib(shameless? .no =P, if you haven’t been able to tell by now, I eat… a lot) with the chile mac n cheese. The horse radish sauce and au jus it comes with are ONPOINT. Presentation could be better, but I contend, for a huge slab of meat like that, there is only so much you can do. I asked for Med-rare, and the chef delivered! The new york strips looked good too, but I kept my eyes, mouth, and belly on my 16oz monster. Crème brûlée cheesecake was the bombdotcom. Mm-mm! Big daddy chocolate cake was just alright. Service was good– our server was good about refills, bringing extra bread, and being attentive without being overbearing. Extra plus: yes, they have a military discount. Verdict: would I go again? Definitely, especially for happy hour!

The place was very nice and the food was great. However, there was no service at all. It didn’t exist. We were there for almost 3 hours and it only took us 20 minutes to eat our food. The servers where horrible and didn’t even know the basics of serving at McDonalds. Now add the fact that it’s over priced. Never again.

Classy, upper scale restaurant. Has the potential to be great, but my experience was average at best. The waitress didn’t know much about their wine menu or dinner menu. Three times she had to go ask the chef or bartender questions. $ 5 happy hour wine and appetizers was a great deal! I ordered the salmon dip with raw veggies instead of chips. The veggies were small chunks of squash and onions that were probably used for sautéing. Did not work well for the dip. The dip itself was very good. Mostly meat, and had good flavor. The salad I ordered was drenched in dressing. Like literally sopping wet. I commented on this to the waitress and she never offered to get me a new salad or take it off the bill. Steak was good. Not great. It was cooked well but had a lot of marbled fat that was difficult to remove. Sweet potato fries were great. Well seasoned and thick enough where you can taste the sweet potato. I wish I could give more stars. The menu looks really good and the atmosphere was great. Poor service and below average meal.

I came here as part of a large group for our final diner out in Montgomery. With a group of 14 people you expect a few mistakes and the staff did a great job fixing and handling such a large group. I loved the feel of the environment, it was upscale feeling, but yet comfortable. I started the night of with a very good dirty martini. Second to come out was the my salad. The salad was an excellent chef salad with fresh grated cheese on top. I’m not a big dressing fan and their vinaigrette very good. My main course was one of the best cooked steaks I had while in Alabama. I had the steak and shrimp dinner with the roasted vegetables side. As I stated the steak was cooked to perfection. And the shrimp was cooked just right with very good favor. The vegetable side was average for me, but meet my expectations for the night. I will return to this restaurant the next time I am in Montgomery, AL. I high recommend you make this a stop in if you are visiting or a regular date place if you live near.

3.5 stars. The first time I came here we missed the happy hour of course but the drinks were still strong and well-made; and the ambience is classy, clean, and modern. Definitely come for happy hour, something like 4:30 to 6:30 Monday through Friday. You won’t regret it. They have $ 5 cocktails, wines, martinis, etc. They also have $ 7 fish tacos! Those were awesome. We tried the sliders as well and they were good but not as good as the tacos. Being greedy mofos, we also ordered a chicken pasta entrée to share. I have to admit I was not as impressed with the pasta. It was a generous portion but not very tasty. I’d stick with the happy hour appetizers or maybe try the steak next time.

This review is a little late but should be shared. Our FM wanted to take us out for a last lunch as a team so we chose this place. I called ahead to let them know we had a group of nine. When we arrived they placed us into a separate, nicely-large private room. This turned out great, giving us a chance to discuss work matters amongst ourselves. The waitress was great and the manager come in to check on us at least once. All this without a request for such accommodations. Great job management and staff. I hope to be assigned another project in Montgomery Alabama!

This was a solid lunch pick for our party of ten. We were seated at a long table(a half-booth, half-chair hybrid) in the main dining room. Their diverse menu of seafood, steak and American cuisine offered something for everyone. On this visit I had a drink, an appetizer and an entrée. Lemonade For me, beverages are typically just an afterthought when I’m dining out. But Firebird’s fresh squeezed lemonade was in a class of its own. It was sweetly tart with bright lemon flavor dancing across my tongue with every sip. Making a good thing even better, the restaurant donates $ 1 from every glass to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to help fund childhood cancer research. Lobster Spinach Queso This spicy, pepper jack cheese-spinach-tomato-lobster dip served with tri-color tortilla chips was fantastic! Creamy. Crunchy. Meaty. I practically inhaled this appetizer. Cilantro-Grilled Chicken Breast The two breasts of chicken were dry there was not one sprig of cilantro to be seen. A cheesy sauce was spooned on one side of the plate to up the moisture/flavor content. But it was the same sauce used in my appetizer and side dish(Southwest Au Gratin Potatoes) by then it was overkill. Overall, everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. We really appreciated having two servers, one to take care of each side of our table. They brought our food out in a timely manner so that we were in and out in under 1.5 hours.

Update: I had a bad experience at Firebirds a few months ago. I wrote a review about it and a customer service person contacted me. After assuring me it was really just a fluke situation, I was strongly encouraged to try the restaurant again. Needless to say I was a tad hesitant at first, but from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we closed out our check, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate every request. Our server Jasmine was amazing — quick, friendly, and one of the best waitresses we have ever encountered. I can’t say enough good things about this delightful young lady. Back to food… Most importantly — this time the food was hot and prompt. I recommend trying the Delmonico steak with potatoes au gratin or a smokehouse burger with cider slaw. Tasty, well seasoned, refreshing, and absolutely perfect to the very last bite. I’m extremely glad management contacted me and worked to rectify my previous experience. I would hate to have missed this gem just from a bad experience. Ps. Just because I want to be as frank as possible, we did run into a small situation with using the gift cards on our entire bill but the head manager on duty came over right away to explain + to fix the situation. I appreciate everyone’s willingness to make our experience a redeeming and memorable one. I definitely will go back and try some of their other grilled options :)
