Chappy’s is a local deli that’s been around as long as I can remember. They have a good selection of salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Kids under 6 eat free, and 7 and up still get a discount, so this is a great place for families. Must tries: Their Chicken and rice soup, club sandwich, Bacon chicken cheddar, and the Turkey melt. I had an Athenian Chicken salad last night and it was delicious. For the price, and the atmosphere, a good bet. Especially for families. Oh, and the breakfast is phenomenal, and priced amazingly.

I got Brazilian chicken salad but my salad came without any chicken, I never asked my salad to cone without chicken! Waitress never stopped to ask me about how my meal was.
I got mushroom soup which was super salty!
Disappointed with my visit.

Pretty good muffaletta for $ 7. Kinda skimpy on the meat and toppings but tasted ok. Comes with a pile of Lay’s chips and a couple of small slices of dill pickles. Plenty of food with all the chips. Very good server.

Chappy’s has been a staple for my family for as long as I can remember. This is a great family-​owned restaurant with great food and friendly environment. I have had most of the menu items and always try the new additions — I generally leave very satisfied. And, kids eat for free!

This is my go-​to lunch stop when traveling through Montgomery. I have never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious, and the service is always great. A great place to get in & out when you are on the road… especially if you want to avoid the jam-​packed stops in the Taylor Road area. The sandwiches are stacked with meat. You definitely get what you pay for. My favorite is the turkey melt, while my husband loves the shrimp po-​boy and the patty melt.

I have tried Chappys Deli on Perry Hill on several occassions only to find a variety of items in my food:
Plastic wrap in my soup. Hair stuck to the bottom of my sandwich. Never going there again.

I had the grilled talapia sandwich, which was outstanding! I went with five other folks from my class, and the building was packed, but they got us in and out within the hour, no problem. Definitely worth another visit!

Good BLT. Many sandwich options so you are sure to find a favorite. Nice place to take kids. Free soft serve ice cream. Love the active involvement in the community the owners have. Great folks.

Solid value and solid fare. Ask to be seated in John’s section… young man in glasses who is an attentive and well timed. Again, the fare is solid… and the standard offering for eggs are 3… but the bacon needs upgrading to thicker (try Kelly’s), and place real butter on table so that we don’t have to ask. Otherwise, you won’t be disappointed.

On a business trip, so I hit Unilocal up as I prefer to support local business… Unilocal reviewers did not disappoint. Chappy’s was an excellent choice at a reasonable price. I had a Reuben, pasta salad and cheesecake… all excellent!!! Highly recommended for travelers and locals

This place was pretty «meh». Saying that it’s «bad» would be taking it too far, but it definitely wasn’t «great». I had a chicken salad sandwich, a little salad, and some chicken gumbo. Nothing blew my mind, but I’m satisfied. I was down here on business and figured I’d try to go somewhere with at least one local, rather than eat at the hotel. As a proud member of the NJ/​Philly «Diner» cult, I get why people like this place.

I’ve eaten here several times because it is convenient, but I have never been impressed with their food. This trip I ordered the Reuben, which was underwhelming. For some reason, they serve it on pumpernickel. They use a deli sliced corned beef. The kraut was bland, and they use Russian instead of Thousand Island dressing. the dressing was a bit spare as well. Not a recommended place for Reuben sandwiches for sure.

I wouldn’t say the food is solidly a 3 at best, but what Chappy’s lacks in the New York Flavor in which they over-​promise on their website, it makes up for in saving my bacon during a short-​notice catering event. I was able to call them at 6:30 A.M. and have my order delivered to me for free by 11:00, and they didn’t bat an eye.
The sandwiches are mostly run-​of-​the-​mill though I liked the bits of apple in the chicken salad I sampled, and though I haven’t tried it, I’m tickled by the idea of a fried green tomato BLT. many sandwiches are just your standard turkey and cheese cold cuts, which certainly have their place among the right kind of crowd.

Um, I am confused. A 4.5?
First off, the service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and super polite.
I don’t want to be a jerk, but food was not great. I had a marginal meal. I know there are probably not a lot of good delis in the Montgomery area so I understand.
I guess given the price and location, you would be ok as a step up from fast food.
