How does a clinic lose my prescription. First, I gave them the info for my insurance company’s mail order system. They NEVER sent it in. Then when I called to ask, they lady on the phone said I needed an appointment, even though I had one in March for my exam. Finally, I told her to transfer the rx to Giant.
So I called Giant and guess what? No RX on file.

Wrong diagnosis. I felt rushed and herded. Called them back for help after I got the wrong meds and whoever I spoke to told me I’d be getting a call back the same day. Never got a call back.
I needed urgent help, so I went to minute clinic at CVS and that physician directed me to 3 other low-​cost options for my issue. Ended up at «Physicians Now Urgent Care» on Shady Grove Rd and got the exact help I needed (made an appointment for 7pm the same day and got prompt service). Didn’t feel rushed here. They do a few exams and check ups that Planned Parenthood does, only better.

The place was hard to find, tucked in a back corner, and the wait was reeeeeally long (almost 2 hours) even though I had an appointment. Luckily I had a book. The care was good, though. Once I was finally seen, it didn’t take long, but I also didn’t feel like I was rushed out. I felt heard by the nurse practitioner I saw. I will continue to use this clinic for my annual exams. At least next year, I’ll know where it is. I’ll still bring a good book.

The lady at the front desk is a real female dog, no customer service, very rude, and not helpful. But good place to go if you have no health insurance and need birth control or any other assistance down there. I was told prior to making an appointment I may be harassed by anti abortion people but I didn’t see any. I came in the middle of January during the polar vortex and there is absolutely NO heat in the waiting room. My ass almost froze sitting for 45 minutes waiting, I can’t imagine what the summer days are like in there. Once you walk back you feel all the heat hmmmm. The nurse who did my intake was nice and asked routine questions like how many sex partners have you had, male or females, etc. I met with the nurse practitioner in her office and she asked me why I wanted birth control and what not. She even told me to go to Target for the specific brand she was giving me because it would be the cheapest. They totaled my visit depending on my income and it came out to a whopping drum roll please…$ 40. Can’t beat that and $ 20 at Target for four packs of birth control!

Planned parenthood has the reputation that they just do abortions. Wrong, if you have no health insurance this is the best place to go. You can get a women’s wellness exam and birth control and testing for half the price you would at any other obgyn office.
