I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Jamie! Throughout my pregnancy she was an amazing resource and competent, reliable, professional caregiver. During the birth itself I had no doubt that my baby and I were in good hands with Jamie. My husband was able to be as involved as we wanted as well, which was great.
From our first appointment, Jamie consistently provided sound information, backed by research and her experience, which empowered my husband and I to make the decisions that were both safe and right for us during the pregnancy and birth. The care Jamie provided for me and my baby after the birth was outstanding; she went well beyond what I would have expected. Anyone would be lucky to have Jamie as a midwife — I’m grateful that I did!

I cannot say enough good things about Jamie. She is absolutely amazing. My husband and I aren’t really the «your aura looks good» kind of people — we were looking for someone a little more serious and Jamie was it! She took care of us from 20 weeks all the way postpartum. It was my first baby and I was a little nervous but I knew I wanted a home birth. She walked us through every step of the process and with confidence I went into my birth and had a healthy delivery of a beautiful baby girl!
What I love about Jamie:
She has a lot of certifications and shows them to you on the first visit.
She has a wealth of knowledge that she shares with you.
She preemptively tries to tell you everything that you might encounter so that nothing surprises you. (As a control freak, I really appreciated this!)
She doesn’t force «her way» on you. She will give you bottom line recommendations and will never let you put yourself in danger, but will also let you listen to your body.
She let me do it as naturally as I wanted to.
She tells you about the research and what it says.
She tells you about both sides of the argument so you can make informed decisions.
She had DVDs you could check out and watch so you felt more prepared.
I was about to hit 41 weeks and had a breakdown because one of my big fears was getting induced… Jamie talked to me about all of my options. I called the doctors and had a hard time talking to one nurse and called Jamie in tears (I would like to blame this on the hormones.) She asked me what I was scared of and I told her. She promptly called the doctors HERSELF and made me an appointment and called me back with the information. Incredible. I went from feeling alone in a moment to feeling the most supported. She supports you 100%.
I could go on and on about how she made this the best experience. But I’ll tell you this: I am more than happy to talk to ANYONE about how great she was. So if you have any more questions, please ask.
Jamie was professional, caring, supportive, serious when she needed to be and laughing when it was time to laugh. She put my health first and kept all of us safe. She will tell you just like it is while being gentle at the same time. She is going to take care of you. Thank you Jamie! We have a happy, healthy, 2.5 month old baby girl and you were the angel that watched over all of us.
