I had the coconut/​aloe spa treatment and LOVED every second! The facial was especially relaxing. I am so glad I made this spur of the moment appointment.

I give this place 3 ½ stars only for the customer service. My husband and I went out for a day of relaxation away from home. We usually go to Aquablue spa in Salinas. From the get go the receptionist was great and friendly and so was the staff.
My husband and I were asked like at every massage is their anything bothering us we would like them to address. My husband and I told them what we would like them to focus on.
So now in the room our massages start. 20 min into my massage im thinking what is this lady doing??? When is she going to start my massage? All I could think of during my massage was the lady at Aquablue. I so wanted this to be over!
Mid massage I hear shopping sounds coming from my husbands side of the room. I couldn’t believe the person giving my husband his massage was doing that! We have had many massages together and I had never heard of someone doing that!
Long story short we were not impressed at all by our massages! I could have given my husband the same massage at home! Don’t get me started on our facial!
I hate giving negative reviews but spending what we spent on our 90 min massage and facial was NOT worth the physical service that was given! NEVER AGAIN! I’m sorry if these two techs gave your business a bad review but they need more intern work before you put them on solo.

I hope I am evaluating the correct Serenity Day Spa. This one was located inside the Sanctuary Resort in Marina. The Serenity Spa at Sanctuary Resort is a comprised of a few small treatments rooms in the main building of the lobby of the Sanctuary Resort. They lounging area has comfortable seating, fruit and cucumber waters, apples, oranges, a fireplace, and big windows overlooking the lawn. They offer massages and facials. My massage therapist was named Beth and she was professional and therapeutic. I was very happy with the treatment and her expertise deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately the spa does not have a sauna, steam, or whirlpool room, thus the 4 star rating.

My boyfriend surprised me with a massage while he attended the AT&T Golf Tournament at Pebble Beach. Unfortunately the sweet gesture has come with an aftermath of frustration.
The Good — the massage was easy to book, the receptionist was very friendly, as was the masseuse. I was taken on time, and I did enjoy the massage.
The Bad — The massage that was purchased, plus tip, came out to $ 105. Payment had been provided over the phone at the time of booking. When I checked out post-​massage, I was asked for a credit card again, to which I told them they already took down the info over the phone earlier in the day. They recognized this, and so I left the spa.
A few days later, my boyfriend noticed the spa had charged his card $ 267 dollars (!!). After confirming with me, he called the hotel to investigate. After a somewhat lengthy phone call, they realized the error, said they weren’t sure what happened, but that it would be fixed. Fine. It’s been almost 3 weeks, and the charge has not been corrected. Another phone call/​voicemail to the hotel GM later, my boyfriend received an email in response. Supposedly, the error will *now* be fixed…
Yes, the massage was great, but the financial headache has been frustrating. Its unfortunate that the gesture and pleasant experience has been tainted by unorganized and careless bookkeeping. At this, point, he should receive more than the charge being corrected, as a courtesy.

I originally got the 90 minute Sea Escape package but once Jenny started my massage I asked to upgrade to 2 hours (60 massage/​60 facial). The pressure was perfect and she also stretched out tight muscles. Elaine is a very skilled esthetician and also massaged my hands and feet after applying a very nice smelling masque on my face. I was very relaxed and my skin was glowing after my session! I’m very glad I got to meet this dynamic duo and will definitely come back and request for them!

My Fiancé and I had a couples massage here while on vacation. I think we paid $ 85 each for 1hr. The massage was good but the room was a bit small and not very visually appealing.

We had a couples massage at Carmel country inn. Our therapists, Lori and Beth, were fantastic! Coming from SF and having had plenty of massages on vacations, this was one of the best Swedish massages we ever had!

I received a fantastic massage from Steve, who works for Serenity Spa. This company provides spa services at locations that do not have a full spa at their facility. I am staying at Sanctuary Beach Resort in Marina. This resort has «treatment rooms» only. Steve has wonderful technique, uses his strong hands to work out the knots in my neck and back. Since a massage is only as good as the therapist, ask for Steve, you will be very happy you did.

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received last night in my hotel by on of the massage therapists that Serenity sent over to us. Our hotel, the spindrift (a great hotel), recommended that we call serenity spa for a service. I have probably had close to a 1000 massages in my life and the massage I received from their therapist had to be one of the top 5 worst massages I have received. It was supposed to be a «deep tissue» massage, but no matter how many times I asked for firmer it was still dull and soft. The worst part of the massage was that it was all palms and no fingers. The person who massaged me did not seem to have a good grasp of the human anatomy and how things are connected. I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this spa.

Another AMAZING facial by Elaine last night AND it was meant to be 45 minutes long and she gave me an hour!!!
It was so super relaxing and amazing I fell asleep.
I really hope I wasn’t snoring.
I woke up with beautiful glowing skin.

I set up a couple’s massage at this place because it was conveniently located at my hotel (The Monterey Bay Inn). I have long been a fan of massage, but never have I had one that put me to sleep! My therapist, George, was amazing! My boyfriend’s therapist was Jennifer, and according to him, his massage was great, too. Both of these therapists have very strong hands and that’s very helpful when you have as many knots in your back as I do! It’s a great value, too! I’ve paid nearly twice as much at some of the «première» spas in San Francisco, and have never had such a wonderful service.
I only dinged it one star because the spa itself appears to be in it’s «development» stage, It’s quite basic and doesn’t really have any frills, i.e., no robes when you check in for your treatment, unless you’re a hotel guest and wear it down. The Serenity Room is comfortable, but a bit small; the treatment room is roomy, and has a dry sauna in it. I’m sure that these things will change when the hotel completes its spa renovation.
To the spa’s benefit, though, George and Jennifer have some gifted hands, and Donna (who schedules the appointments) is incredibly accommodating.
