One of us had the sweet and I had the savory, but both were pretty good. The place was very quiet inside but the coffee was hot and the food was what we were looking for.

On the spur of the moment while walking by, we decided to stop to have crepes. Wife ordered the mushroom and tomato crêpe and I ordered the salmon with cream cheese, tomato and green onions. The gentleman behind the counter making the crepes was very accommodating and personable. Monterey Crêpe Company does not have flashing lights or signs to call attention. Interior is sort of plain without any frills. Wow both of our crepes were very delicious !!! We are planning to return to try some of the other crepes on their menu.

It seems like Crepes should be pretty easy to master if it’s your business but some people can’t seem to get it right. As far as savory crepes, this places has got it down! Their batter is not overly fluffy(like some are), and their ingredients are fresh. Their egg, turkey, cheese(add avo!) crêpe is delicious and more than filling. The restaurant seems bigger and maybe hollow but I usually grab mine to go and walk around the town. I imagine most people do the same. Please note this is not a fancy restaurant where you are served and waited on. You order at the register and they bring you the crêpe. Service ends there. Perfect for when I decide I just want to sit and sip my coffee in peace!

Don’t be fooled by the less-than-stellar ambiance! The crepes here are amazing and made with love! I eat here literally almost once a day when visiting and I get the same thing every time: The Monterey Crêpe special add chicken.

My husband and I were looking for a small lunch the grab while walking around. He ordered a savory pesto chicken panini crêpe and loved it. Pretty garlicky, not great for me, but he enjoyed it. I ordered both a ricotta and jam crêpe AND the butter and sugar.(Don’t judge me, I’m super pregnant with a wicked sweet tooth right now.) I actually liked the butter and sugar crêpe better. The ricotta and jam was good, just wasn’t sweet enough for what I need to curb my craving. Will for sure visit again!

Place is run down, no character but the crêpe I had was good. They have two salads listed on the menu but neither was available because they did not have lettuce. Not because they were busy, they were not. Me and one other person having lunch. Nobody else came in. I did notice after I ate my crêpe that tge cook was handling money and food, no gloves. By the way, the cook, cashier are the same. One person operation.

My husband and I walked Alvarado yesterday and decided that this morning we would eat here. Unfortunately at 7:30am they were not open. We checked the«Hours» which were unclear M-Th. today is Wednesday (Fri-Sun the hours were posted) So, that’s that. One chance to impress us and like your crepes, the impression was flat.

I should have known what kind of experience I was bound to have at this place when I saw that it was completely empty. Strike One. But, as is in my nature, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. My mom and I ordered a «King Zakaria» to share. Though delightfully presented, the experience of eating it was anything but. This particular crêpe required more hand-held sawing effort than a well-done steak from Applebee’s. Strike two. When my mom took our plate to the vacant counter and spoke to the man behind it, she was snidely told that«this is how crêpes are supposed to be» and handed her a knife.(Her hand is in a splint by the way). Strike three. After a few failed attempts to saw off a chunk to eat, we decided to call it quits. We left the hardly eaten crêpe where we were sitting and walked out without any acknowledgement by the one-man staff. I would never recommend this place to anyone – unless I really despised them as much as my experience there. This place gets a one star vote from me, and that’s only because I can’t rate it any lower. If you are in the area and looking for a crêpe, wait until the Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays were you can get a quality one from their competitors.

Nice little crêpe place. The food is good. Service is friendly. We keep coming back because the kid loves the crepes. Service is leisurely as there has only been a single person working everytime we’ve been here.

This is everything I wanted for a breakfast during vacation Tons of options, espresso, and reasonable prices. Portions were huge! We ordered a king zakaria with peanut butter and I got a salmon savory crêpe with feta and tomato. The man working the counter didn’t charge any more for extras, and was very kind.

This place was empty on a Friday night. Maybe because the winter holiday and all the kids were out of town. It is conveniently across the street from Osio movie theatre, so it’s a great place to grab a bite to eat. Had the chicken avocado and cheese savory crêpe which was delicious. I tried the caramel Apple crêpe for dessert, which was a little too sweet, drenched in Caramel. The apples looked like they were a little old. Since there was no one else there, there was no wait and they were just off the griddle. Service was friendly and quick. There was a lazy fly that hung around and wouldn’t go away. They could use a fly deterrent.

The food here is pretty tasty and the employees are very polite, however the prices for the Crêpe panini’s are a touch too expensive to be served al a carte. It would be great if it came with a small salad or another small side. Also a little music to liven up the place would be great as it was p
