Recommend against dealing with this company. I’m not sure what’s worse, their«customer service» or their questionable business practices. In particular, an employee named Renee(sp?) is quite unprofessional. She was rude to my daughter on the phone and refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor or manager. She has a lot to learn about dealing with customers and prospective tenants. The only way I can imagine that she still has a job is that she must be related to the owner. In the end, I’m happy not to be doing business with this company because I think we only glimpsed the tip of the iceberg in terms of their business ethics and customer relations.

Of primary interest to me is this company’s outdated policy of requiring income that is THREETIMES the rent ot more. When rents were a half of today’s rates, this policy made some sense. Now, for a $ 1675 apartment the policy means that you must earn over $ 60K per year. Being retired, my monthly income does not come close to that. However, i have no debt or dependents, nearly zero tax obligation, a stellar credit background and guaranteed funds deposited every month. Personally, I do not need $ 3350 of disposable income to have a great life. Finding a new home is tough enough without such anal-retentive policies.

My experience with CPM has been a positive one. They have a great attention to detail within their complexes. My apartment was spotless upon moving in and freshly painted. Their staff is friendly and very helpful with all the requests I made. I never had a mold problem like the other review but it is Monterey. It’s cold and damp everywhere and having a dehumidifier always helped me in any place. I loved my apartment and was sad to leave but I had to move for work. Kay at the front was always on top of it. Talk with her when you need to get things done.
