I’m a frequent customer because this place is incredible. Molcajete is new and fabulous.

We this place! Today was so delicious. They finally added molcajete to their menu. We always enjoy eating at the Los Arroyos in Camarillo because they serve molcajete. Great service and once again such a fulfilling meal.

This place serves up an incredible menu of margaritas. Unfortunately, the service is terrible and the food is way way overpriced for average taco stand quality fare.

Although they have the best salsa here the service is horrible! I’ve given this place too many tries to redeem themselves and I will not be back. We had to go up and ask for chips and ask where our food was after a good half an hour even though the restaurant was was pretty much empty. Our waiter even brought our check out 5 minutes after we started eating which was a big turn off! However the other Los Arroys in Santa Barbara is a lot better :)

I hosted a small company dinner gathering at Los Arroyos’ private dining room this week and the food + service was EXCELLENT. I was particularly impressed with the manager, he went above and beyond to make sure our party was well taken care of and seated promptly. The dining space was exactly what we had hoped for: comfortable + great for conversation + not too loud. I look forward to hosting many more gatherings here in the future! Oh, and don’t miss out on their signature Cadillac Margarita, so yummy! Thank you, Los Arroyos, for showing us what customer service is about.

While visiting a friend in Santa Barbara(who insisted this was the best Mexican restaurant in the area), we had to come to Los Arroyos two days in a row because of how delicious the food was. The first time I had the Chile Relleno Burrito(best burrito I have ever had hands down) and the next day I tried the Garden Burrito. The fresh guacamole was also very tasty and the many different salsas had the perfect combination of flavor and spice. Come hungry and leave full and satisfied.

I’ve always been a fan of Los Arroyos, but the last four times I’ve been to this location have been incredibly frustrating. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m younger, but I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 6 years and expect a certain level of respect and service. Whenever I come here my table is persistently ignored. We’ve had to ask for sides, refills on drinks, and the check EVERY single time trying to hunt down our server when they have three other tables to tend to. The servers on multiple occasions have tried to not give us change, like they expect to get a 35% tip without giving us the option. Never impressed, never feel wanted, and won’t give my business to this location any longer. 2 stars because the food is consistent.

Been here about a half dozen times over the years now. Always satisfies. The dish«Maria’s Enchiladas» are fantastic. Whenever I am in the area, I make it a point to stop here.

Crab enchiladas, Havana margarita and fresh guacamole on the patio is the way to go! Service was speedy and friendly. Food was delicious and hot. Drinks were timely and on point. Looking for quick takeout? Visit their downtown Santa Barbara location, just as yummy.

I stopped by for Lunch — California salad with roasted corn, avocado, chicken — black beans and veggies — it was fresh, good ingredients, healthy and delicious ! Highly recommend — enough to feed two people I think

Family owned good Mexican food. A neighborhood favorite with a welcoming atmosphere, along with great outdoor people watching spot. Chips are always good & hot. Food is not too spicy in my opinion. I normally get a chili relleno and sometimes enjoy an enchilada. Yum. Margaritas are fair. Good lunch spot or after work cocktail with chips.

This family owned restaurant is not getting the love it deserves. I am Mexican and I love it! For those of you who know me, I usually do not like to frequent the same restaurant more than once(specially if its Mexican food — I grew up with it for goodness sake!) but this one has gotten my attention; Los Arroyos has warranted 3 visits. Anything you order is Fabulous-O(lighter than the usual — as in not made with lard — and KINDOF healthy) and guess what? They have complementary valet parking, indoor(heating lamps option) /outdoor settings, and MYFAVORITE live entertainment on Saturday nights: Mariachi!!! Recommendations: Maria’s Enchiladas and the Fajita Burrito; please share, no one likes to see you get fat. Order their chips too! They are fresh, crispy, and come with perfectly spicy salsas(yes, they bring different types! My favorite is the habanero salsa).

Los Arroyos is visually welcoming located ideally next door to art galleries and several high end boutiques it’s a perfect place to stop in for a relaxing and intimate meal. I had an unexpected trip to Santa Barbara yesterday, and at the recommendation of my hairdresser, my friend and I decided to give it a try. I was told the food was simply delicious and that it was on the healthier side of most Mexican restaurants. Her two must try recommendations were, the Arroyo’s Margarita($ 10) and the Guacamole($ 6.95 lg. bowl) served with chips. The Margarita was absolutely fabulous, for anyone whose read my prior reviews they know I like a drink that makes my lips pucker and this baby did the trick, tenfold! While I prefer a chunkier Guacamole, their version is whipped with chunks of freshly cut tomato, nobody can argue that the flavor is not on point, my issue is solely due to my texture preference. The chips are made to order so they are still warm when they arrive at the table, they are light to the bite and frankly quite addicting. One bowl of chips per table, if your require more you will have to pay for them. I opted for the Fajita Burrito, which entailed sautéed tomatoes, black beans, onions, cheese and green bell peppers, with a dollop of sour cream & guacamole on the side. The burrito on the outside is dry, you will find no sauce or cheese coating it, as for the inside the bell peppers are served Al Dente so you have some crunch and you can opt for chicken or steak.($ 13.50) My friend decided on one of the daily specials which was Chicken breast stuffed with sundried tomatoes, topped with a queso sauce and a side of Asparagus($ 14.95) The food is fresh, the quantity size is more than filling, I ended up taking most of mine home. If you find yourself on a date or a scenic drive stop in and dune on the patio what a fabulous atmosphere, the waitress was top notch and the busers were equally terrific always checking to see if we needed anything. Try it, I’m quite sure your going to like it.

Absolutely deliciosa! Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Waiters were very nice and the food was just amazing! I heard the black beans were very good and not greasy at all. The homemade chips and salsa were also great. Everything was so good and tasted very authentic. Just as a heads up, the chips they offer at the beginning are not free. Definitely worth going to!

I used to love Los Arroyos. However, the my last couple visits have changed that. The food was bland. I ordered a wet burrito. The steak was dry and everything really lacked flavor on its own. Pouring salsa over everything is really what saved the meal. I took my family, and everyone agreed that the food was flavorless. The price of the food is not indicative of the quality. I do not plan on eating here again.

Food was mediocre. We ordered a mama’s salad with shrimp, crab enchiladas, and a sope plate. Enchiladas were super salty and the rest of the food wasn’t great. My friends and I actually had leftovers. We never have leftovers! Don’t think I’ll be back. Other than that, the place itself is cute and it’s nice and clean.

FROMSANTABARBARATOMONTECITOBYFOOTMAKESFORHUNGRYHIKERS BACKGROUND: Los Arroyos Mexican Restaurant and Take Out is a family-owned and operated restaurant with three locations in Santa Barbara, Montecito, and Camarillo. We serve fresh, homemade Mexican food crafted each day from the finest ingredients. Tony’s original recipes offer a variety of dishes from traditional fare such as Sopes, Tamales, and Pozole to modern cuisine including the Mama’s Salad with grilled vegetables, our Ceviche with fresh fish, and the Garden Burrito. STATS: Monday — Thursday 11:00am — 9:00pm Friday — Sunday 11:00am — 9:00pm Offers Take Out Full bar including over 100 types of tequila Extensive wine menu Indoor and Outdoor seating Event catering is available Offers private room for groups between 8 – 14 people Offers private party room for 30 – 50 people (see website for more details) EXPERIENCE: You think parking across the street or a block away from an eatery, try walking a little over three miles for lunch. After strolling through Chase Palm Park: Shipwreck Playground, up and over hills, and through tunnels, me and some of the The Crew stopped here for lunch before completing our loop urban hike in and around Santa Barbara. The modest collection of tables were all filled at the time of our arrival and only sat up to four people, we were a group of eight. The inside of this eatery decorated with the colors and items of Mexico, not to mention family pics of the Arroyos and perhaps extended family both blood and non-blood related. We all squished into a booth that was made for six to sit comfortably, but we are all family so personal space isn’t all that necessary, just give us a bit of elbow room to shovel the food into our mouths and we’re good. While we shared with each other items from the menu that peak our interest, water and beverage orders taken and served, in addition to chips, two kinds of salsa, and guac. The chips were served warm and went well with the«spicy» salsa, although it wasn’t all that spicy, for me anyway. The second salsa was a the roasted type, which I don’t particularly care for from any eating house. The guac was tasty, didn’t come from a jar and it didn’t last long on the table. Several baskets of chips were consumed before our food was finally delivered. Granted, we were a fairly large party, the food took longer than it should have, based on experience and in my opinion. The establishment wasn’t overly crowded and the plates came out very staggered. My two shrimp tacos came on homemade corn tortillas, with shredded cabbage, creamy chipotle salsa, & mango salsa, and I chose the Caesar salad over the rice and beans that are available with this dish. The chipotle salsa added a nice baby kick to the tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but the service wasn’t worth more than 20% of the bill, once we ordered our server didn’t come back until we started asking the extended help for more water and salsa, among other items. I wouldn’t walk three miles for this place again, however, if I’m ever in Montecito again, I may stop by.

Los Arroyos is really good Mexican food. If you are accustomed to overwhelming spiciness and flavors related you might not enjoy this place as much. Some reviewers have gone as far as to say the food is bland — this is not the case. Los Arroyos is delicious and easier among the best Mexican food in the area. The chips are hella good. I don’t think I’ve ever had such good chips that I didn’t make myself. The guacamole is kinda meh and the salsa lacks heat — and flavor. This is not a contradiction per se I just haven’t had salsa so boring. I had Maria’s Enchiladas and boy I would love to adopt Maria as a family member because her enchiladas really hit the spot. The black beans are amazing by the way I never realized black beans could be prepared so well. This is a good spot for lunch.
