I worked for this place 6 years back along with the owner by the name I think of Alex. The staff was very unprofessional and the racism from the owner and co-workers towards the African American co-worker was awful. While picking up the deceased they would say awful jokes which I was chocked to hear. I worked there for only a few days and couldn’t take the mental abuse on my mind anymore by the awful things they would say and do. When I told the owner I was leaving(They only paid my about a third of what I was suppose to get paid) he started telling me about how there is no reason to try and find a better job with higher pay because I wouldn’t be able to do it. He tried to get me to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week and only pull in about 1000 dollars a month. He ripped me down along with black co-worker and I that was enough. The job was simple to be compassionate to those that have suffered the loss, and I was proud to serve them with honor and integrity. I handled their loved ones with precious care and respect when transporting them to the funeral home. I just wish the owner and his workers could have come to understand such a thing. I am saddened to see he is still around and it breaks my heart to know that this company handles the ones we love with no respect.
