Do not ever come to this place… The worst sushi restaurant i’ve ever been I saw the old lady through the kitchen that she dropped the tempuras and grab it back then put it in my bento box. I also old the ramen. They give you cheapest ramen That you can get in a market for 75 cents.(im korean so i know what kind noodle it was). If you still wanna eat this place i am sorry

A small little sushi place close to the highway. During the time I was in training in Montebello, me and the girls decided to have lunch every day so we could get to know each other. Unfortunately, we all remember this as the worst sushi and ramen we ever had. As we all know, sometimes the pictures in the menu will not match up to what we are eating. Though it should be quite similar. However the other girls who I was with had ordered the ramen as they were in the mood for it. Once getting the ramen, there was no eggs no vegetables, and it was just noodles and the broth. The broth itself was a bit disgusting as it was foamy. I on the other hand ordered a bento box which seemed more… normal. The chicken teriyaki was decent but only the californian roll tasted the best. The water we were served had sesame particles in it. And when my colleagues raised question why the ramen did not match with the picture, the man and wife pair merely replied back that the ingredients had grown too expensive and that they no longer served it with the ingredients seen in the menu. We were pretty disatisfied by the time we left and vowed never to return again. Beware! Only safe thing I would say to get from here is the bento box. Though the taste is average. Even their most expensive sushi — lobster sushi was not even cooked well. The lobster lacked the flavor and looked as though it was just dipped in. I was not feelig too well after that as well as the girls who tried it. Try at your own risk.

This was my second time coming during a week day lunch time and again it was dead. First time I got the bento and it was ok but not great Sushi quality: is poor, I can get better tasting cold sushi across the street from albertsons Customer service: I asked the lady for ginger and she acted annoyed They also forgot to make my salmon sushi No one else was there and I had a small order I don’t know how this place has managed to stay open but It won’t be getting any of my business anymore.

When I walked in I liked how clean the restaurant was. I ordered the teriyaki beef bowl, i was so disgusted the rice was old. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

Don’t waste tour time and money here. The place was empty but the tables were dirty. When we received our food, the avacados in the California rolls were brown and disgusting. There was more teriyaki sauce than the chicken. The tempura were dark and greasy because the oil probably had not been changed in decades. Need I say more?

3 stars for the regular ol’ chicken teriyaki bowl I got 0 stars for the man who took my order and my money without hardly even opening his mouth. 2 stars for the«Twilight Zone» dining experience. As in you might be the only person in there, it’ll be very quiet, awkward and annoying dealing with someone who acts like he couldn’t careless for your business while you wait for his mother(?) to prepare your food. Will not be returning obviously. Too bad because Japanese food joints are scarce in MTB.

Just ordered to go. I was famished. Guy at the front was pretty rude. His mom went to the back as soon as I went in. She sneezed really loud while she was in the kitchen. I should of left then. I ordered the shoyu ramen, spicy tuna, and a Philly roll. Now, I wasn’t expecting gourmet food whatsoever. But man, the food was disgusting. The soup was not separated from the noodles. So by the time I got home, it was soft noodles. The noodles themselves weren’t good. Broth was like soy sauce and water. No thought into it whatsoever. The rolls were gross. Spicy tuna had a sauce on top that was super sweet and salty. The Philly roll was salmon on top of the roll with a California roll and cream cheese inside. Since when do you make it that way. So upset I can’t even write. I get that it’s not authentic Japanese. I know that it’s Korean run. There are some Korean sushi places that are good. This is not one of them. So disappointed.

The food is not great, but it is good. Got the bento plate and got a good amount of food for the price. However, the guy at the cashier has absolutely NO people skills. There were two of us and we ordered one plate and he walks off, keys something in and gives me my total. I give him the second order and he does the same. He never asked if we wanted anything else, almost as if we were interrupting him. Keeping in mind that we ordered food for two, I asked for hot sauce. He gives us one packet and walks away. We ask for more and he gives me the most dull look as if I were asking that he hand me the register money! Not visiting again.

Neat little Japanese fast food type restaurant. The food is inexpensive, but the quality shows it too. The owner is not rude, nor is he polite. Gives off a vibe that he doesn’t want to be here on a slow Wednesday night. I wouldn’t oppose if someone suggest for us to come again and grab something quick, but I won’t seek this place out on my own again. This place can definitely be described as average.

OMGOMG. It’s like a chapter from the twilight zone. The Worst sushi joint I’ve ever been to. And i’ve been going to sushi joints for over 20 years. The food was terrible. Beware of their menu, they claim some rolls are wrapped in tuna while in fact they are wrapped in ground tuna. All of the rolls are nasty California rolls wrapped by tiny little pieces of tasteless fish. The waiter which by the way the owner/cook’s son, I hate to say it, is the dumbest waiter I’ve ever met. He kept forgetting the orders, screwing up the orders and bringing the appetizer last. At the end, we canceled half of the order, we went to pay at the cash register, and by the way the waiter was also the cashier, He overcharged the lady iin front of us $ 11 and he overcharged us $ 7. If you’re in desperate need of having sushi around that area, I suggest you visit the Chevron gas station instead. Seriously, it’s that bad…

Very odd place. When my daughter and I walked in the place was empty an a guy was behind the counter doing something on his phone. No greeting no acknowledgement. When I told him I wanted some thing to eat he looked up and waited. There was a menu on the counter so I chose two bento box meals. Then he ask«to go?» We should have left but instead I said“No.” Paid and we sat down. Miso soup was too salty and tepid. The portions were skimpy but tasty. The place was very hot. No AC? And a fan that wasn’t working. Not worth the $ 26.

This place is decent. It’s good for a quick bite and if you have an instant craving or sushi like I do. It’s not a fancy place just a little hole in the wall, but overall the food is decent.

Man if I shared what happened with you guys on my last experience here you probably wouldn’t believe me. I’ll just say this… the employees were arguing and it seemed like they were about to engage in a fight. After ordering and waiting for approximately 20 mins for our sushi, the employees kick us out and lock up around 2pm. Then they closed the blinds. I was in complete shock. All I could think was, «Did they seriously just kick us out because they were having a breakdown they couldn’t handle?» Way to come off professional guys! What a joke.

This place is awesome. They are one of the the best sushi places in this city and have a new happy hour menu which is great. We always order the tiger roll and Washington or Hawaiian roll. Sushi is always rolled nice and tight and never fails on taste. I highly recommend this place

This place was going downhill for a while but recently I feel like they’re gotten better. Last time I went I had an issue with the portion sizes being tiny for the price. They make a special tempura tofu roll for me whenever my dad orders out and it’s delicious. Love it. Edamame is nice and hot and salted just right as well. Inari is, well as inari is. It’s really really hard to mess that up. I haven’t personally gone here yet since the ownership and menu change but the food is tasting pretty good so far.

I came here after seeing their new lunch specials up. I order the Bento box Teriyaki Chicken lunch special. The teriyaki chicken is good, also the tempura, soup and the salad. My real problem with this place, it’s quite dirty. There was crumbs on the table and no one was in side. The people who work there look real pissed off for no reason and seem to have a attitude problem, I would understand after a long and bad day people would act like that; however I didn’t see anyone inside. Would I return, very unlikely.

Not sure why everyone is saying this place is bad. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. You get rice, chicken teriyaki, salad, 5 California rolls, tempura and miso soup. Such a good deal for $ 8.95 and enough food. The food is good too. The tempura is perfectly battered and fried crispy, the chicken teriyaki is good. They put just the right amount of sauce on the chicken. California rolls are yummy. The salad is like cole slaw but so tasty. The only negative thing I have to say is that the miso soup doesn’t have any seaweed or tofu.

**banging my head against the wall** «Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.» Why didn’t I check Unilocal before setting foot in this place? Now I’m left offended, with an empty wallet, and an empty stomach. I’m never coming back here again. Let the pictures do the talking. I actually felt very offended that the server woman brought me ½ a glass of water when I asked for a glass of iced water. The water even had food particles in it. How much money could she possibly save by not filling my glass to the top? Friggin offensive. Besides, isn’t an Oasis a place where water is found? False advertisement. Minus 1 star for only bringing me ½ a glass of water(AND it was full of food particles, to make matters more insulting) Minus 1 star for cheating me on the sashimi salad(half the sashimi was missing) Minus 1 star for prices(my salad was not worth 10 bucks). .

This is close to work, so I decided to try it out. I got a roll, which was over priced and the rice was hard. The menu is pretty standard with sushi rolls, bento boxes, salads, and ramen. Service was average. Probably wont come again.

I ate here for my first time today and it was average as far as lunch specials go. I ordered the bento box which contained Teriyaki chicken over white rice, coleslaw salad, a 6 piece California roll, tempura with two pieces of shrimp and other vegetables, a few orange slices and edamame, and a side of miso soup for a total of approximately $ 9. Not bad. The tempura was very good, the Teriyaki chicken average, and the California rolls were just OK.

FAKEFAKEFAKE!!! The owner of this restaurant threw me out only because I asked if this was real Sushi or fusion. He said that only because he is Korean does not mean he cannot make Sushi. I never asked for his background. He has the worst attitude. Good luck staying in business. DON’T WASTEYOURMONEY(NISEMONO!!!) Honto ni nise mono desu! It sucks! You may want to know the following: Credit Cards: I am not sure Price: $$ Takes reservations: Not sure but it takes donations, so leave your money there if you want. Good for Children: Maybe for dogs Parking: Yes, and then eat at Subway next door Kindness: The owner is an IDIOT Taste: If you are allowed to eat, you will find out

I feel really bad giving this place 2 stars because the Korean ladies that work here are sooo nice… but I have to be honest, for the sake of you, the public in search for some good sushi. From the outside, this place looks like your average Korean-owned Japanese fast food place. They have sushi rolls, bento boxes, teriyaki chicken, etc. But the quality isn’t so good. The food is pretty forgettable, nothing very delicious about it. I’d only come here if I was really desperate for sushi and I was in the area and couldn’t go anywhere else. They’re also closed randomly during the day so I don’t think they really have regular store hours… or if they do, they don’t go by them.

The place is just mediocre. I tried it out because it’s in the SGV Entertainment book. I don’t think I’d be back. As for the food, portions are small and nothing to rave about. I had the bento box and although it seems like a lot of food, the portions were small. I think I barely got 1 scoop of rice and maybe half a boneless thigh cut super thin. There are better choices in the area.
