This was one of the most astonishing(in a bad way) customer service experiences I have ever had anywhere. This place moved to Watchung Plaza from South Fullerton, and since it was a grand opening, and my husband needed a new pair of glasses, I thought it would be a good idea to wander in and check out the place. As soon as we walked in, we said hello in the cheeriest possible voice with a smile. The guy who worked there said hello and asked if we had a prescription with us. My husband replied no, but that we just wanted to take a look around. The guy immediately said that it wasn’t worth it to look around without a prescription. We reiterated that we just wanted to browse, and he said that, while we were free to browse, it’s not even worth it to open any of the cases containing the frames to take a closer look without a prescription. This went on back and forth for another 20 seconds before we took our business elsewhere. I was a little shocked that a store just opening up in a new area would kick out their first customers of the day(literally, there were no other people in the place and it was their first week of opening). That’s alright, though, because we took our business to a much better establishment that actually understands customer service.(See my other reviews.) While we were arguing with the guy to let us browse his store, I did take a quick glance around the store and didn’t find a good selection of frames anyway, so I guess it’s good that we didn’t waste our time. Maybe I should thank him… Nah.
