Was in Montauk for a wedding recently, and really wanted to get in a workout(weddings = gluttony, ya know). After a google search, and a Unilocal search, Body Tech was the only gym that seemed somewhat close by, with a decent selection of equipment. I was a little hesitant at first because a day pass costs $ 25! That’s more than a Soul Cycle or Crossfit Class… Non the less, I needed some fat burning action, so I headed to Body Tech. I was a little confused at first because outside signage was basically non-existent, and the building seemed more like an assisted living facility rather than a gym. Upon walking in the building, we still saw no signage, just a kitchen. We then decided to walk up a random staircase, and alas, there was body tech. The place is somewhat compartmentalized and cramped, but I was impressed by their selection of free weights, foam rollers, and other gadgets. After a round of elliptical I tried to do some abb movements, and stretching in the other room, but I felt like I kept getting in other people’s way, so I just ended early. I really do appreciate the fact that the gym allows walk-ins, but for $ 25 I expected more than just a towel and access to weights. P. S. please get a recycling bin, it really bothered me that I had to throw my water bottle in the trash, Thanks!

A small, clean, uncrowded(at least on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in April) gym with a basketball court and apparently lots of physical therapists conveniently located across the street from the train station.
