My friends and colleagues of the trombone retreat absolutely loved going here for a quick bite to eat. The servers here were extremely friendly and fun and made eating at this restaurant a blast.

Stopped in for a strawberry milkshake and a root beer float. Didn’t order any food, so can’t speak to that, but the dessert drinks were on point.
It was delivered quickly after we ordered. There were a lot of open picnic tables with a view of White Lake and the pedway bridge. We just stopped in on the way to another place so we enjoyed our drinks in the car.
Seems like your typical drive in, nothing great, nothing terrible. Both drinks came out to under $ 8.

Saw the comments about the bad service and was a bit worried, but I have to say it really was fine. I mean, this is an old A&W-style (or Mel’s from «American Graffiti») kind of Drive-​In, so short of not delivering the food, you don’t have a ton of interaction with staff anyway. Food was delivered quickly, service was friendly.
The Chili though… OMG the chili. This is lip-​smacking, smack-your-mama-it’s-so-good chili on the coneys!

Friendly staff and a clean environment to have a family dinner. Similar to A&W, the food is absolutely delicious! I had the jumbo shrimp and fries with orange cream soda, it was to die for!!! I will definitely visit again if I am in Montague.

Horrible!
I expect to pay a bit more for the experience but the prices here are ridiculous. Since the new owners took over its gone way down hill. 9.25 for 2 chicken tenders and some fries that were limp. 6.50 for 6 chicken nuggets and a milk! Please for the love of God don’t go here.

Not a ton to say about this place, other than its a great old fashioned type of drive in. Order through a speaker and the waitress brings your food. Great root beer! You must order one.
The food was good, fast food type of stuff. Nothing gourmet but if you come here expecting a quick family fast food type of place you’ll be happy!
P. S. There’s a great view so sit at the picnic table and enjoy it while you eat!

Go coney dog or go home! I love the coney dogs here. The only thing that could improve the coney dog is two coney dogs. I guess the root beer float would improve it is as well and they are tasty too.

The food was at best mediocre. We had the tenderloin, which is more like a big chicken patty (we were hoping for the thin, crispy Texas-​style). The barbecue pork sandwich was ok. The fries were ok, but the onion rings were good. We had milkshakes, and they were very good. We felt the prices were a bit much for the amount of food you get. Overall, we were not impressed, but we may return for a milkshake.

I am a fan of Dog n Suds, but I don’t go there often since I feel that they charge a premium for ambience. It is a cute place and the intercom ordering is very charming, as well as the carhop service and trays. I do, however, wish that there was a simple walk up window because sometimes I would love to just get an order of their fries (hot, crispy, thin and well seasoned… yum) but with tip and waiting time, it just isn’t worth it for me most the time. The food is good quality and always served piping hot, so for visitors to the area, it is a great place to enjoy a quality «fast food» type meal in a fun setting. As for me, my parents live there and say that the locals do not frequent the place very often, so I only go on occasion.

This old school Dog-​N-​Suds is absolutely PERFECT for a true hot dog or root bear float enthusiast! We come here every year on vacation with much excitement.
First of all the location is right on White Lake (My family has actually taken our boat and used there dock to tie up)

Dog-​N-​Suds is a true classic. They just don’t make them like this any more.
Here’s the deal: you drive there in your car, park, and order food from the side of the room. Food will be delivered to you in your car in a prompt fashion. You will salivate over your burgers and fries and attempt not to drip it into your car. It is fabulous.
Sure, the food is fast food, but it’s also greasy goodness. My family used to come here every summer when we vacationed in the area, and it was always truly fabulous. A&W may be gone, but Dog-​N-​Suds remains… and it sure beats Sonic’s!
