I’ve been coming to Shear Madness since I was 13 and I don’t know why I’ve never written a review. Beate and Bernadette are fabulous! They make you feel like family. Their work is just amazing. There were times in college I had to seek other opinions and even the hair dresser I saw in Orange County said «who every does your hair does beautiful work!» That they do!

Be smart! If you want to book Bernadette or Beate, schedule about 3 weeks ahead. Shear Madness is clean, comfortable and updated. Super nice family-​run business. Alicia puts you at ease as soon as you walk in. Competitive pricing. Small parking lot in the back or find street parking. When you need a great cut and great service, come here.

This is a great salon, very affordable, but also the nicest and most comfortable family-​run business I’ve ever seen. The two daughters are now the primary hairdressers, but their mother is still working there as well; yet everyone’s casually professional. I love how Bernadette colors and styles my hair, and have been coming for a few years now. Just occurred to see what reviews are up here on Unilocal for them!

Love this place. I get my hair cut by Bernadette. But I am familiar with everyone here since I have been going here since my high school years. (almost 20 years!) Everyone is super nice and friendly and they make you feel like family. Funny enough, almost everyone in my family goes here too.
Pricing is good. I get lots of compliments on my colors and cuts all the time.

I love Alicia’s work, I love her graciousness and spirit. When my son visits from
New York, he goes to Alicia to cut his hair.

If I could give Shear Madness more than 5 stars, I would!
My daughter and I have been coming to Bernadette for all our hair needs for 7+ years now, and we have never walked away with a cut, color, or style we didn’t like. Since we’ve always gone to Bernadette, we would recommend her without a doubt, but Beata and Alicia are very talented as well.
The atmosphere in the shop is fun and friendly, and everybody is treated like family.

I’ve been a client of Shear Madness for over 5 years! My girlfriend introduced me to Bernadette. She has given me and my daughter the greatest cuts! We always get fashionable looks that match our face and our curly hair. Bernadette, Biada & Alicia are all so talented in color and style. I feel comfortable to have Bernadette do whatever she’d like. That’s what you call trust.
The atmosphere is relaxing and tranquil. They treat their clients like family. I’ve often chatted with their other clients and it just as comfortable.
My recommendation is to make an appt. soon before suffering another day of bad hair:)

My daughter recommended I try Shear Madness about 8 yrs ago and since then Alicia has been my Stylist. She does such a great job with my cuts and colors. My gf recommended this place to me. She introduced me to her stylist Alicia who is the owner along with her daughters. She is so sweet, funny, energetic, and happy all the time. The environment is really warm, positive, and puts me in a good mood each time i’m there. Their stylists are very talented and their service is very good.

I had been searching for a hair stylist who is good at doing hair cut, especially short hair. Because most stylists can do hair cut but bad at giving a chic one.
However, I’ve found one at Shear Madness! My stylist was Alicia, a very nice and friendly lady. I went there for getting rid of my shoulder-​long hair and got an very satisfying result in the end. I like Alicia give me professional suggestion which was one thing I never had in other places, and her estimate came out successfully and fits my face perfectly!

Since I moved from San Francisco, I have high expectations when it comes to Salons. Moving to the suburbs, I knew I would have a hard time finding a salon with super friendly people and charges reasonable rates.
Shear Madness is a place where you can get the best of both worlds. Bernadette is whom I go to all the time but I know that her mom and her sister are also superb because they’re all always booked!
Knowing them is like being a part of their family. They’re all open-​minded and very kind. They’re so talented, skilled and very honest.
I recommend this place 100%!
