I miss the old place where you just measure the weight and got paid. Done and done. Now they moved a block and have machines and a broken weight machine.
The machines are this complicated measure where they need to not be crushed and with a label. Also, this place doesn’t take wine bottles.
I miss the old place. Just weigh my bottles and glasses and get paid and done.

In celebration of a sustainable New Year, I direct you to the most amazing place to recycle in the history of recycling. The guy who works there — are you sitting down — actually seems to like what he’s doing. While you wait to recycle your stuff, he’s got classic rock on. If you’re lucky and there’s not a lot of people, you can drive right up to recycle. And they usually take glass, which for some unknown reason, the other nearby recycling places never seem to do! Why the anti-​glass people?
Alas, even the most amazing place to recycle in the history of recycling can’t get five stars. When the guy isn’t there on Mondays, you are left to use the machine at your own peril. I swear the machine is pre-​programmed to break down, denying you your .5 crv. When that happens, if you are like me, you just leave a gift for the next homeless guy to come along (that would be your left over recycling).
Here’s to another doing my small part to keep the world «green»…and making a couple bucks while I’m at it…
