I love coming here. was super excited when the opened here in Monrovia. Service is always great & employees are pleasant. Sometimes there are coupons available & I have never gotten attitude or sighs when presenting them. Food is always fresh.

I wasn’t expecting much from this pizza; I was pleasantly surprised. I like smelling the pizza bake in my house and eating it fresh out of the oven. The customer service is great. Glad to have found a good pizza place close to my house.

Okay so as all my friends know, I am totally against pizza in any way, shape or form, but this place is BOMB! Totally reinvigorates the concept of «no hassle cooking.» I typically find pizza delivery and getting frozen pizzas at a local Ralph’s to be kind of cheap and gross but getting take and bake here puts an elegance in baking your own pizza. I know that sounds weird, but having the option to select FRESH veggies and meats to put on your pizza makes it as awesome as a salad bar only with crust– and who doesnt love some carbs :) My personal preference is the white pizza, with gluten-free crust(YAY! props for having this option guys), chicken, lots and lots of garlic, artichoke, cheese and olives. PLUS: for those of you with a sweet tooth, they also have cookie dough for you to make your own pizookie! You know, those tasty desserts they have at BJ’s that costs an arm and a leg? Well, now you can make your own and serve with some vanilla bean ice cream on top. I’m eggcited to be back to try some other things next time I’m in the area!

We have a lot of these in Sacramento and my dad loves their pizzas. He always asked to get Papa Murphy when he came to visit us. We were glad to see that this store opened near my parents so my dad can get it whenever he wants now! This store is very clean and the employees and owner were very friendly and helpful. I hope this concept of take and bake catches on and allows this store to stay in business for a long time. When I first moved to Sac and was intro’d to Papa Murphy’s, I thought it was a weird idea but after tasting the difference in quality of ingredients from delivery pizza places, I was sold. It definitely tastes much more fresh, less greasy and the price point is great. They usually have a few different specials going on and coupons in the mail/online. Baking instructions come with each item and the pizzas come on a convenient bakeable tray. Our go to’s are the thin crust chicken bacon artichoke and Papa Murphy combo. Salads are basic but very fresh and tasty. The cookie dough is also pretty good!

This is less of a review and more of a question: have all these people lost their minds? I tried this pizza at a friend’s place and not knowing where it came from it struck me as a pretty mediocre pizza, then I got the whole story and I had to go apesh*t. So far as I can tell this pizza has three supposed selling points: Convenience — In what world is going through all the motions you would to order a «normal» pizza PLUS having to pre-heat the oven in your ALREADY hot a** apartment PLUS waiting for it to bake vaguely related to any kind of CONVENIENCE?! In fact, the ONLY pizza scenario in which Papa Murphy’s is less INconvenient is the one where you start out with raw ingredients and two broken hands. Freshness — I’m pretty sure that most pizza places aren’t making pizzas out of rancid produce and spoiled meat and cheese. Sure if you search long enough you could probably find a truly awful pizza place like Casa Blanca in Eagle rock that will have the audacity to use canned mushrooms and turn out what is basically an insult to all pizzas but in my experience nearly all decent pizzerias use fresh, quality ingredients. Fun — Seriously?! Are you reeeally so bored with pizza that doing half the work to prepare it(the HOT unpleasant part) sounds like fun to you? I think that tossing the dough in air part sounds like fun but guess what, that part is DONE. Do parents inexplicably feel less guilty about feeding Papa Murphy’s pizza to their kids just because it came out of their oven, even though it wasn’t ready to go when they walked it in? When I was a kid do you know what was the most fun about pizza? That it was ready to eat when it arrived and my mom wasn’t p*ssed off about having to heat up the entire house with the OVEN so we could experience dining in a blast furnace. I found out recently that Papa Murphy’s may skirt around the tax on prepared food because, well, it’s not done… so you save a couple bucks. Life is really too short to suffer mediocre pizza for the sake of saving a few bucks, don’t be a cheapskate. I guess I just don’t get this, what if Wendy’s sold hamburger«kits» that were fresh and ready to eat as soon as you grilled the patties once you got home… that just sounds INSANE, right? Do youself and your fellow diners a favor, buy a «normal», finished pizza, there are plenty of places more than willing to suffer intense heat in order to bake it for you and if that doesn’t sound like enough fun I’m sure if you promise a big tip the delivery guy will dress up in clown make up before he drops it off.

My friends and I picked up a couple pizzas and the s’mores dessert pizza here and it was all SOOOGOOD!!! They told us everything, including the dough, was made fresh daily and you could really tell. We loved the idea of seeing all the toppings on display and being able to choose them as you go. The owner was so sweet and helpful with suggestions. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Best pizza in town. Don’t know how they do it. The dough is perfect and it bakes perfectly in the oven. The owner is very sweet and checks in everytime we go. Love this place

Such delicious pizza. The difference of baking it in your own home, and feasting right when it comes out of the oven is REAL. My kids la-la-love to assemble the mini murph pizza — and I love it too because it keeps them busy for 1.5 minutes.

I’d never had a Papa Murphy’s pizza until I stopped by this Monrovia shop about a month ago. I’ve been back about 5 times now and have added it to my go-to list. I’m a pizza lover in general and this is one of the freshest tasting pizzas I’ve ever had, from the dough to the toppings. My favorite is the thin crust. The only sides I’ve tried are the cookie dough and the cheesy bread. The cookie dough is killer. I pop some in the toaster oven(no preheat) for a quick hot snack. Or just have it raw from the tub for a quick cold snack. Either way, it’s freakin delicious. The cheesy bread came out perfect. Fluffy, melty, cheesy. Not that it’s necessarily a good or bad thing, but the cheesy bread was very heavy. On par with the food is the store itself. The inside looks very clean and has a modern ‘froyo shop’ feel to it. The staff is always inviting and helpful.

I was a sceptic, but I picked up two pizzas today and they were extraordinarily good. I was expecting them to be ok, but they far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place. The staff was super friendly and the food was awesome.

We just moved to this area. I love this store. So glad they opened one up in the area. It’s clean, modern, and the staff is so nice and friendly. I love that I can choose my own toppings, and don’t have to beg for a little extra of any ingredient. Blaze staff are so tight, makes me furious. Our game nights are going to be pizza take out from now on. Awesome smell of fresh made pizza in the house minus the hassle of the preparation. Pay less and get more and better quality. No more low quality pizza.

My boyfriend and I came in, because we received coupons in the mail. We thought the idea of take and bake was fresh and sounded fun, the prices were great too! The employers were really friendly and helpful in explaining the cooking instructions. The instructions also come enclosed with the pizza so that’s great. All the toppings were really fresh and they were plentiful! Honestly pizza was great for baking at home. Definitely will be back a second as they have some interesting menu items and fresh flavors!

Called in our order. Two large pizzas with cheese. We ordered a thin crust and regular crust. The kids loved the plain cheese pizza. The grown-up pizza was doctored a bit at home with veggies, fresh basil, and other herbs. Very good. I followed the instructions to a T! 425 degrees preheated oven. Around 15 minutes. Turned pizza halfway through cooking. Took out and put on cookie cooling rack for a few minutes before cutting. Crust nice and crispy. Thin crust cooks faster so be forewarned.

A little taken by surprise, seeing that I went in not knowing it was a «take and bake» pizza, but trust me it’s definitely worth it. I got the 5 meat stuffed pizza and it proved itself a fit rival for a guys night gaming. Will be happily returning… seeing as none was left for my girlfriend.

Everything is made fresh daily including the dough itself, cookie dough, salads, desert pies and many more. The cinnamon wheels are great for breakfast, and I can’t possibly forget to mention that their raw cookie dough is safe to eat due to the fact that it’s made with dry ingredients. Once you’ve tasted this pizza, you’ll never want to eat pizza from anywhere else again.

I have been waiting for a Papa Murphy’s to sprout up near me for years. Finally one has arrived only 1 mile from my house. It is always really good and one of the managers/owner gave us a free sample. The cookie dough is best eaten raw and it is one of my favorite childhood memories so of course I bought a tub of it. The best part about their pizza is the dough, when you bake it at your house it tastes so good and fresh. Also take and bake pizza is good, because you can put it in your fridge for a day or two and bake it when you are ready. Love this place!

I’m writing this as I eat my pizza. We received coupons in the mail for this place and I was at first a bit skeptical of take and bake pizza. After all you can pick up a pizza to bake at home a lot of places. However, being that they’re so close to our house and the coupons were for a good price I decided to stop by today on the way home and check it out. Walking into the place you can see how bright and clean everything is and the employees are friendly and helpful. I thought it was nice that they explain to everyone, if they haven’t been there before, that they are take and bake in case someone comes in looking for ready made pizza. They have a fridge case with ready to take home desert pizzas, cheese bread and salads. They even sell cookie dough. When your pizza is ready they explain how to cook it and the pizza comes with a little instruction sheet in case you forget by the time you get home. From what I was told everything is made fresh even the dough. As someone who grew up on homemade pizza I was impressed. Another nice thing is that the pizza comes ready to put into the oven. There is no need to transfer it to another pan or baking sheet like most take and bake pizzas. I love that because my pizza pan isn’t large so I always end up cooking half of a pizza at a time. I followed the direction on the sheet for the pan pizza and it came out perfectly! Much better than any other take and bake pizza and definitely better than delivery. The only thing that can beat it is moms home made pizzas. They also don’t skimp on toppings the way a lot of places do. My husband was definitely impressed with it when I brought it home. I will definitely be back the next time we want pizza!
