Live Oak Crematory

This review is for the grounds only I cannot vouch for the employees. Note also that we (California) is in a drought — the grounds seemed very nice still though I did notice some dry spots. Not an issue. I have family on my father’s side buried here, my great-​grandparents, grandparents and such. its a nice and peaceful place.
That is all I have to say.

This cemetery is really peaceful and beautiful. Normally cemeteries give me a creepy vibe or sadden me. But this place has alot of happy decorations like benches, tables, incense burners, money burners, water fountain, statues, beautiful tomb stones in marble or a room full of cremated locked walls with decorations and their picture from their loved ones. It’s always clean and so spacious. Definitely recommend this place.

I went in about a year ago when my little sister was taken from this earth. I first went in by myself and Jaime helped me. He showed me some nice spots like my mom had asked for under a tree with lots of shade. Afterwards I told him I would just have to come back with my mom since I felt uncomfortable making a big decision like that on my own… I came with my mom the following day and Maria was the sales person who was showing us the available spots. She seemed very lost and confused when she went out to the shaded area I had been at. As to even asking me to read the numbers on cement for her. She said I don’t think there is any spots under this tree and went inside to look for a better map she said. She came back and said nope there is no more spots under this shade are you sure you don’t want to go to a different area by the water fall, which of course was double the price and had NO shade like my Mom had asked for. She never said sorry for your loss and seemed more interested in making a quick sale! I then said I would have to come back and just deal with Jaime who happened to be the Manager. I took his number and told him what happened. He met with us first thing the next day, showed us not one but 3 places exactly were my mom wanted and he had first showed me. I was like crazy Maria said there was no spots left here! He apologized for Maria. He told my mom and I he was sorry for our loss. He is the only reason I am not giving this place one star. Over all nice place except for Maria.

Went to the park on Sunday, Feb 19, 2012. Had one saleswoman actually come out to my car to give me a card, but when several people in my party asked to locate a few graves, the office staff was curt and unhelpful. Definitely not customer friendly.
