Dog Training In Your Home

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We do NOT recommend Mark or his company Dog Training in Your Home. They give a great pitch and sucker you in by committing to a tailor-​made program for your dog… then you are required to pre-​pay for the service. HUGE mistake… Once they have your money they quickly lose the motivation to work for you. I was a little hesitant about prepaying but this company came recommended by my vet.
We signed a contract for a minimum of 5 visits (1 per week). We have only received 4 training sessions since OCTOBER 2015! We tried multiple times to schedule a weekly standing appointment only to be told that their computer system does not allow you to schedule more than one appointment at a time. Mark is entirely too busy and is just a poor businessman… Constantly running late and twice cancelling our appointment b/​c of over-​scheduling his day.
I contacted them in January 2016 to ask for a refund since they have not met their contractural agreement of 5 consecutive training sessions but so far no refund and no return phone call from Mark, the owner. I paid $ 695 and DEFINITELY did not get my money’s worth! I hope this review saves others from being taken advantage of. Go with a reputable company such as UBER Dog and negotiate a pay as you go scenario.

Communication and follow through with the company is awful. I called their office six times since March to recover $ 200 that I overpaid in error for dog training services. I’ve yet to receive that reimbursement as I’m told by the office manager/​admin that the owner — Mark — has to «approve» the check being issued. There is no dispute or discrepancy with my account, I clearly overpaid by 2 $ 100 payments. I asked numerous times for Mark to call me directly but was told he was too «busy».
Mark — I must say that I’m disappointed. I’d been satisfied with the training that was provided to me by your company. The fact that I’ve been trying to resolve this seemingly easy transaction since March is ridiculous.
If you’re thinking about using this company, make sure to keep a close eye on the administration of your account. They are quick to call you if you owe them money but if they owe you something — forget it! So unfortunate.

We hired Chris Varney from Dog Training in Your Home to help us get our dogs ready for our baby, and we were extremely happy with his service. Our dogs are completely different animals than they were before! The procedures were learned to train them were pretty simple, but we never would have come up with them on our own. With just 30 minutes a day of homework, our dogs have learned to respect us more and to be better with each other. I’m way, way more comfortable with the idea of bringing our baby home and introducing her to our doggies, and that peace is priceless.
