After completing a requested review of my stay I was contacted by a Marriott rep. Received an apology and a credit to my card for breakfast. Satisfied with the outcome but still can’t rate it all that great due to the hassle.

Great staff and nice location. Bistro had great breakfast options and after a long day I enjoyed a nice adult beverage. My kids loved indoor pool. Room was clean and in working order. Bed was super comfy. Every staff member said hi and asked if we needed anything. Would recommend hotel to anyone visiting Monroe. Also, who doesn’t love Marriott and points program?

The lobby was very nice, I liked the fact that they had a bar in the lobby, nice convince. However after the lobby it went downhill. When we went to get into the elevator it had such a bad smell that my fiancé had to get out. I held my breath to the second floor to unload our luggage. Once into my room i saw stained carpet covering the room. The couch had non matching cushions. The bathroom had hair left in it from previous guest and the floor was sticky. There were two coffee tables in the middle of our room and they both had dirt on them. We also had a room with a balcony and it was dirty and clearly had not been cleaned in a long long time, the mirror had spots of dirt on it. I was very displeased but i stayed downstairs at the bar and then just went up to take a bath,(where they had not replaced the body wash, so it was empty) and sleep. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone else. Probably the worst part of it was that after I filled out the online survey I received only an automated response from the general manager. I am sorry but in 2015 take 3 minutes to type up a real response. Tell me something happened in the elevator that night and it was out of your control, something anything but some automated form letter that has statements including below is not acceptable. «As we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable hotel experience during your travels, we have unfortunately fallen short of our goal during your recent stay. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconveniences you experienced while you were here. We have shared your feedback with the appropriate hotel team to ensure that this was an isolated issue that is corrected moving forward. « Overall I was not impressed with this establishment and will not be staying here again.

Really good hotel. Pretty good food nearby and the employees in the hotel are really nice. Beds are good, showers and good with plenty of hot water. Good value for the $.

I have a general complaint about Courtyard Marriott’s; they always put the air conditioner unit close to and pointing directly at the desk chair. So, if you are sitting at the desk working, you have freezing cold air blowing on you… it should be on the other side of the room, or centered under the window. I usually don’t have any problems, other than the AC issue, at Courtyard locations… but I did have a couple of specific issues with this one. When I arrived in my room, I took off my shoes and immediately, my feet were soaking wet… apparently they had just steamcleaned the carpet and it was still wet… so, I asked for a new room. I was moved to another floor into a room that smelled strongly of cigarettes, but by this time, I was tired of moving and just accepted it. Aside from these issues, the service was good and the lobby was nice. I visited the gym and they had all the equipment I needed. BOTTOMLINE: Courtyard’s are usually pretty consistent in being a good hotel chain for busines travelers… this hotel is not one of their marque locations, but then again, its in Monroe, LA.

Nice establishment located right next to Pecanland Mall and several great restaurants. The rooms are very neat and stylish and the service is great. Would definitely stay here again.

I’d say this is the best«bang-for-your-buck» hotel in the area. Nice facilities, modern and stylish lobby area, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Good price, too. I’d recommend this place for business travel or stopping off en route to somewhere else.
