The good news is that the Country Time Farm is still offering their maze — the bad news is that based on this year’s event, I do not know how long they will be doing it in the future. In prior years, there was a haunted hayride alongside the maze. This year? Gone. No mention of it anywhere, it was just not there any longer. It could be that it no longer fit with the maze as more of a family destination or it could be that the hayride was not a good fit. Either way, it was not there. Previously, the maze was a bit larger than it was this year. Not as much in height of the corn, but in the breadth of the corn field. This could be due to the odd weather we have had lately or it could be an attempt to stretch the corn field for as much as they can get out of it. The bonfire area was generally the same as it had been, but there did not seem to be as many visitors this year as there had been. It is tough to say why that is. There also appeared to be more food options at the farm — there was a fried-food tent for example, even though it was not running. Overall, the experience just was not quite as good this time out, though it is still a decent family time, it is not as good as it has been in the past.
