Yes one star, the beer was delicious! It’s not really the kind of place where service makes a difference so I feel bad they couldn’t help, they were pleasant. The pizza is really that bad. The dough is tasteless, I liken it to frozen pizza with less flavor. The cheese is cheap and melts weird, there was literally no flavor to this whole experience. If didn’t have a cold one in front of me I probably would have left after bite one. I don’t like to waste but I bought two slices and left 1 ¹⁄₂

Really great atmosphere. The salvaged mural is nostalgic. My family loves this pizza. Hand tossed dough and orders prepared fresh, so I would go when u have time to sit and enjoy your meal. Friendly and courteous staff, chef even came out to ask if everything was ok. Very affordable for the quality of ingredients. Fed my my family of 4 and even had a slice to take home. All for under 50 bucks.

I HATE it when employees sit at a table amongst the patrons. I have waited tables for years and I have never, even once, sat at a table on the floor or *gasp* eaten in front if them. Never. Once.
Staff was chatty and enjoying their lunch together, yuck. Manager was up and down between sitting at the bar and walking around behind the bar.
What’s worse than that? We dined in and we were given styrofoam containers and plastic silverware. Save the earth, people!
Food was fine, we had cheese pizza and caesar salads. Not remarkable enough for me to return.
I have been next door to Yeasty Beasty and seen it packed while WCP is sparsely adorned with patrons. My guess is that this is why.

I give the owners credit for giving this a try as Monmouth NEEDS businesses and SOMETHING, anything, downtown. But really, the pizza is not very good. The taco pizza is about the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Terrible. The «pizza by the slice» was boring and very bland. They really need to improve the quality of their product, or else they’ll soon be long gone in this non-progressive, resistant, stubborn town.

There is nothing wrong with this pizza. A mini pizza, lettuce & cheese salad and drink for 9.50 isn’t bad. The Yeasty B. might have an edge on the crust, but I liked the extra sauce, cheese and toppings vs. Yeasty B. Try both places, share the love and keep both establishments open.
Then go have some ice cream from down the block!
