Great food at a great price. The gyro is great. I am from out of town and made it a point to stop twice!

I’ve been coming here for years. Over the years I have seen a steady improvement in their food and now they have stepped up their draft beer selection by adding craft beers along with the old standards. You can’t beat the prices on food and drinks. Very reasonable. Great employees, great customers and a pretty fun place. Love the John Wayne memorabilia and the other eclectic items hanging around this throwback of a bar/food joint.

We have gone there for Taco Monday three times and order off the menu and to drink a Diet Coke in a can. Each time no problem. The next time we decide to eat in the bar area. I order a Diet Coke, the server comes back with a fountain drink. I taste it and is is Diet Pepsi. I tell her I ordered a Diet Coke. It comes in a can. She states she has worked there for over a year and they do not serve Diet Coke.(Are you calling me a liar? The customer is always right? I am sorry…). I told her they give me a can of Diet Coke. They charge by the can not like other places with free refills. The food is ok but the server needs to be more customer oriented. It made the whole experience a bad one. We have not been back since then.

What a fun John Wayne lovin place this is. The only watering hole for miles and it’s full of locals. Heavy pours and friendly people. The décor is early ghost town with about 200 pics of the Duke for good measure. The Monee fest was a dud, so this was a natural. Good times!

Great place to meet up with friends after work for a few drinks and a good down home meal. On Monday’s they have Taco Monday. The BEST blanket taco’s I have every had. And during the summer there is a sand volley ball league you can watch or if you are lucky enough to get on the list to play in. Good times! The owner has many events during the year there as well. The bartenders are nice as well as the rest of the staff. This place makes you remember what a small town is about!

I go here quite often as this is the meeting place for our local union. There are all kinds of activities, volleyball, bean bags, darts, etc. Many people come here for the food alone… which is quite good and a good value as well. The dining room is removed from the bar proper and is quite cozy. The staff is friendly, and the customers are as well. Give this place a try – you’ll be glad you did!

I ate lunch here on a business trip. Definitely looks like a «local watering hole» from the outside but those can be some of the best places. Friendly service and home cooked meals. I ordered the steak sandwich which I thought was a bit greasy but my coworkers both loved thier meals. Extensive menu with good prices.

If you like out door volley ball, good drink specials, and good company… this is the place for you. They only take cash; ATM on site. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; food is good, extensive menu. Great place to throw darts and during summer months, out door patio and volley ball area a great place to hang out.

Brain has the best burgers. They serve a half pound burger with all kinds of crazy toppngs, fries and Cole slaw for $ 6. Brain’s is the Kuma’s corner of the south side. Same atmosphere but half the price with plenty of seating indoor and outside. Never a wait. A great place to take the Harley for ride to.
