I found Ollie’s to be A-OK. Someone suggested to try here for an area rug so while in the area, i decided to try it out. It was my first time in this store. My family raves about so i was excited to try it out. They do have some good deals. Its like a giant Big Lots. Dont get me wrong, there were plenty of rugs. like a whole different room for them, but they were hard to look through. Some rugs are on a wooden pallet.(imagine 30+ rugs in the 5×7 section) You couldnt browse through them bc they were heavy to lift and look at. Also the price is UNDER the rug. but you have to guess which side its on. They also have larger, more luxury rugs hanging. I wish this was the case for all of them. i bet a beautiful rug was at the very bottom of those pallets, but its was impossible to lift 29 other rugs just to look at it. I was really hoping this would be the place i bought an area rug, but browsing them just wasnt fun. My boyfriend was cranky and hates home shopping, so i called it a day after attempting to look for 20 minutes and getting no where.

This is an oddly shaped store, but I liked it. In fact, I kind of love Ollie’s. It’s a mix of Aldi, Big Lots, and for old time’s sake Hills/Ames/Fisher Big Wheel/GeeBees/Jamesway kind of store. Everything and nothing can be in this store depending on the specific item you are looking for. From carpets to spices, they have a little bit of every department from every store you can think of. Reasonably priced too. I always browse the food section looking for spices that I know I won’t be able to find at a reasonable price elsewhere. Not only do I look, but I usually come out of here with some pretty sweet spices for some pretty sweet prices. Keep in mind that you need to also check the Sell By/Expiration date on some food items. Some people say that can be a suggestion, but I kind of live by that if it’s not good by date, don’t buy it. Also check out the book section, some pretty sweet coffee table books here to be had. Kitchen items galore and linen as well.

Another one in the Ollie’s chain found in PA and OH, as good as it gets for a discount /knockdown store. Bought a bunch of crap that normally would cost $ 60 for $ 16. Clean and orderly which is a huge plus in a store like this. Located behind Sears.
