Advance Auto Parts

Shout out to Advance Auto Parts… I did the most ridiculous thing and ran out of gas on the way to the gas station this past Saturday… I used to think people who did that were crazy, but I’m humbled now. :) I was one parking lot over from Advanced Auto Parts, so treked over to get a gas container and was going to walk to Speedy to get gas. Mike, from AAP, was so nice and asked Cheryl, one of the employees, to drive me to the gas station, bring me back to my car and make sure everything was ok. They could not have been nicer, turned a stressful situation around. So kudos to Mike and Cheryl… their customer service is outstanding.

Battery died in the frigid temps in January. Went to the Advance Auto, because I recall their ads say they will install for free. Well, on Saturday evening, with super cold temps, the store was out-​of-​stock on the battery I needed. Not surprised, but the employee told me of other stores that had the part; I declined, but said I would be back in a few days.
Five days later I return. Battery is now in stock. Cashier lady rang me up, and a younger man tells me he will be right with me for the install.
Well, the terminals were all corroded up, and the employee, Matt, had to fight it a bit, but he succeeded in not that long. I asked if I should buy a new bolt for the terminal, but he said he’ll make it work, and he did. Great job, quick. He even warned me that my Ford may start kinda ‘funky’ when installing a new battery, and sure enough, it did start very oddly, but within seconds it was back to normal.
Needless to say, I’ll be back for my next battery, wipers, oil.
