This place is great. The rooms were clean and the staff was really helpful. There is a restaurant with great specials and bar. This place is off Hwy 14 by ½ mile and if you are forced to stay in Mojave this is totally the place to go. Worth it.

I stayed here last fall after spending some time at the Mojave National Preserve. I was pleasantly surprised because the town of Mojave has slowly been fading ever since it was bypassed by the highway. The clerk was very polite and the suite I ended up in was very large, clean and nicely furnished. Although it is next to the airport, most of the airport is used to store jets and won’t keep you awake at night.

Wonderful staff. The towels are SO soft. The beds are comfy. The pillows are wondrous. The rooms are great. But, the hallways reek of smoke and there’s no elevator.

I’ve had to stay in the area for work often and after trying both many times I’d pick the Best Western down the street rather than the Mariah. The Mariah is supposed to be the nicer of the two options but there are a few deal breakers: 1) In and out internet at Mariah(can’t stream a Netflix movie on most nights) 2) No temperature setting on AC(it’s either On or Off) which is annoying trying to regulate temp. when it’s 100+ degrees out. 3) Only the King bed rooms are comfortable, Double beds are really stiff and you can feel springs. Also, feel like it’s more a function of the area but customer service is pretty weak, don’t expect initiative or effort from the front desk if you need anything or have a problem. They are adequately friendly though.

Trying to make it to Bakersfield at midnight on a two lane highway was not for us. It was time to SLEEP! After putting my accumulating Unilocal skills to good use I found the small town of Mojave in the middle of nowhere. Mariah was the only hotel with even decent reviews in the area and for good reason. We couldn’t tell if our moving truck would fit in the parking lot but while trying to figure it out one of the staff came outside and gave us directions around and where to park. Talk about customer service. We got inside and a different employee assisted in finding us the best room rate. Extremely helpful even when I probably would have paid out of my budget to not be on the road anymore. The inside of the hotel is very cute and well decorated. Albeit a little hot in the hallways but the a/c in the room cooled it down before we got all of our luggage inside. Clean bathroom, comfy bed, free internet, and quite. It is right next to an airport but you would never know. I think they may have had a theft problem because there is a sign by the TV saying if you take anything(towels, pillow so, etc.) they will charge it to your card and they included the prices. The hotel soap and bathroom products are from a dispenser so you can’t take them off the wall. I’m sure this helps them keep the prices down and I always bring my own toiletries so I’m not butt hurt about it. Need a place to stay out in the desert? Pick Mariah!

Nicest in the Area! Choose this place! Believe me for what you have to choose from in this area this is suitable. Booked thru having never been to this area and as we passed all the shady motels I was very happy to come upon Mariah. Checked in around 845pm very nice desk clerk, just before the restaurant closed and well they stayed open to feed us dinner! Food just average guacamole and salsa were good, service Excellent. The room had a king size bed with nice clean sheets but the pillows aren’t soft. Nice lighting options in the room, microwave refrigerator and coffee maker in every room and instead of bottles of shampoo and bars of soap they have dispensers attached to the wall full of product. Soap shampoo lotion etc. The hot breakfast consists of waffles eggs sausage and gravy for biscuits… but low quality:( I’d stick with the cold offerings next time, cereal, bagels muffins juice etc. Checkout was also a breeze. Would stay again!

Bad service. Got a reservation on Expedia with confirmation and charging my credit card. Got to hotel and no rooms were available. No help from front desk. Just told me I had to call and deal with Expedia to cancel this non refundable reservation. Not a good experience when they could have dealt with their issue.

The least worst motel in Mojave. Mojave is a old run down town with nothing to offer. If you must stay the night there. The Mariah Inn would be the place to stay, if you have to. Try not to put yourself in a situation where you have to spend the night in Mojave. I occasionally have to work in this area. I have stayed in every motel this town has to offer. They are all terrible. The Mariah Inn is an old, dark building. With horrible water flow and plumbing problems. The staff seemed very nice. And i wish them all the best.

Much better than expected. Rooms are big, beds are good and the staff is friendly. The hotel is very clean — even my wife admits that — and she is very picky. The breakfast was a bit empty, even though the idea is good with fresh wafles and bagles. Maybe due to the holiday season they had time to get their purchase done. We’ll stay here again and defintely recommend it to others.

I’m here right now and it’s HOT, meaning the a/c does not work well. The treadmill in the«excercise room» doesn’t work. The pool is dirty and the waterfall in the«spa» is not working. I wish I’d gone with the Days Inn.

I’m rating this as a spot in the middle of the mohave desert; pronounce that: «if this business were anywhere else, it would be rated on a different scale.» For what and WHERE this is, it’s a gem. The rooms are clean(even if someone is a little heavy handed with the stinky cleaning supplies) and will meet basic needs for parking, sleeping, showering, and getting a cup of coffee, some orange juice, and a little(instant) oatmeal in the morning. I, too, wish that management could convey a few things to staff and guests. They should let you know that they have internet access in the rooms but you need to be wired(no WIFI) and ASKIFYOUNEEDTHECABLE when you check in. They should mark the back door so it’s easy to find in the dark at night. They should ask if you might need an extra blanket or towels since there is no housekeeping staff early AM or late PM when you would need them. They should also tell you the breakfast room and restaurant hours as well as putting an information sheet in the rooms telling you what to expect from those amenities. Also, we stayed in room 103. A staff office faces this room and they leave the door to this office open throughout the day. We were awakened about 7:30am(on a weekend) with loud conversations between employees. Frankly, it’s weird, as a guest, to have to TELL employees that they are being disruptive but I figured, if they don’t KNOW they are talking loud enough to wake guests behind closed doors, it might be doing them a favor to tell them. Guests should be aware that sometimes«breakfast» includes scambled eggs and sausage(served from buffet warmers) and other times does not. It seems like this spot serves folks visiting Edwards AFB(to sell things, interview for a job, etc) so it is as nice-as-it-needs-to-be for business travelers and it’s a spot most tourists will never see.

The only place I would even think of staying in Mojave. The only problem was some kids running around the hotel but that’s just loser parents not the hotel.

Great service, good price, clean, great amenities. Fridge, microwave, green soaps, plenty of coffee and coffee pot, free breakfast from 6−9am, fitness center, guest laundry, sound proof rooms, heated swimming pool and spa.
