Attended a Meet & Greet/concert with Scars on 45 that also had a wine tasting. I’m not a wine person, so I can’t help there, but I will tell you that this place is amazing. Completely personal touch and care. The owner is obviously dedicated to making sure that his guests are enjoying themselves. And the ambiance is breathtaking. Concert was acoustic, and the sound in the room was A+. Can’t wait to make the trip again.

Our latest date night was spent here. First time for us both and I was really drawn in by the architecture and atmosphere. There was a live band that was excellent; her Stevie Nicks was spot on. We had wine and appetizers. I loved the Vouvrey(so much we picked up a bottle the next day!) The owner came to our table and was very engaging. Our server wasn’t very attentive to us at all, despite it not being busy. Overall: great wine, great food, great setting. I’d certainly recommend this spot to anyone!

I love coming here. From the wine to the tapas to the live music in such a beautiful stone church, what more could you ask for? Just amazing. I love the different tables and chairs, the fireplace, the casual seating for people without reservations. Even the bathroom is clean and beautiful! Just wish there was better parking. It can get very muddy.

I have attended this beautiful restaurant many times before. The wine list is superb and the food is delicious. The service is always slow, but eventually you get your meal. Entertainment is top notch. The owner Tom, is warm and inviting. After attending this past Wednesday 4÷13÷16 to see Constantine, former American Idol, I am extremely disappointed in the way I was treated. We arrived at 6:40PM and immediately Tom greeted us as always friendly and outgoing… he told us to bear with him it was going to be slow service because they were sold out. He also told us to order our food and drinks right away so as soon as we sat down. We did. The time was 6:50pm. He was even gracious enough to get some bread for the table because we just came from work and we’re starving. We sat with a group of other people. All the food orders were taken at the same time. The food finally started to arrive around 8pm. Again this is normal at this venue. Everyone at our seating area received their food but me and my sister. The show started at 8:15ish. At 8:30, I flagged down our waitress who was rude and said«kitchen is slow» at 8:46 I flagged her down again and she proceeded to tell me.“it’s not her problem if the kitchen is slow’ mind you I was trying to bring to her attention that we never got our food when everyone else did. I just wanted her to make sure the order went into the kitchen. At 9:00 yes I said 9PM we still did not get our food… About 2 hours after ordering!!! I went to the female hostess who I think is the owners wife, but I’m not sure. Everyone at the table and myself were trying to tell her that we never got my food, obviously it was never put into the kitchen to begin with. Instead of saying let me check with the kitchen and see if your order actually went in she proceeded to tell me to hush because the show was on and the kitchen is small and we’re very backed up. Really that’s how you treat a customer??? instead of just going into the kitchen to see what happened to the order you tell me to hush up because the guy is singing and you don’t even try to find out what happened our food order!!! Everyone in our area remained with their mouth open. At 9:20 my sister went up to the owner asked him to cancel the food we didn’t want it at this point… he proceeded to credit us for the food. In my opinion, our drinks should have been on the house as well as an apology. 2 hours and 20 mins and no food! Instead of making excuses, stop and listen to what your customer is trying to say. The waitress screwed up, our order never went into the kitchen, yet our credit was charged pronto! I love this place and if the owner would apologize for their behavior and offer us a free dinner and drinks, I would consider going back. I’ve brought many people to this venue and recommend many friends to go there. It really is a unique place. Everybody has off nights I get it… but that night my sister and I felt ignored and invisible. My rating is based on previous experiences regarding food service and entertainment. It does not reflect what just happened to me this past week.

Great place great atmosphere and hats off to the chef. We came in with a group of 10 and we decided to move from our table to the more comfortable seating area which the management said it was no big deal and moved us. The owner John came and introduced himself made some small talk and made us all feel comfortable. We started with an awesome Malbec and some small plates. The short rib ravioli was killer as was the empanadas but others had mushrooms in which I am allergic too so I didn’t try but I was told they were good. Let me add that the waitstaff was very responsive to my allergy and let me know what did and didn’t have mushrooms. Thank you Nick! Dinner plates were all good we tried both tuna options the gnocchi the chicken the cheese board and the pizza… all dinner plates looked and tasted great and it all was timed perfectly as they arrived at the table. We all left happy and it was a great night with good friends good food and live music.

Hubs and I enjoyed an evening of live music, fantastic tapas and wine at The Winery some months back. The place is rustic and charming inside, the table set up is warm and inviting and they also have comfy couches for groups. The staff was attentive, but our waiter was new, so he was a bit confused most of the time. Our waiter was lovely, but just seemed really inexperienced and nervous. It was a little disappointing to have to been waited on by someone who clearly needs additional coaching. We would definitely return, but hope that management can improve their staff training to ensure patrons are not inconvenienced by their inexperience.

Had a great Valentines day dinner. Miss last year’s more upbeat party but impressed with the food this year. Always very attentive staff and the owners are incredibly friendly!

This definitely should receive a very solid 3.5 stars, alas, Unilocal has yet to implement this feature, so I must begrudgingly rate with 3 stars primarily because of the borderline ostentatious pricing offered by the Winery. I get the look they were shooting for — a hipsterific vibe highlighted by the building itself — a deconsecrated church that showcase amazing architecture, while providing interesting acoustics for live performances. They definitely aimed to appeal to a «refined» crowd that is still in lye rested in getting dressed up to frequent an establishment that offers no hard liquor, a limited beer selection, and a lot of overpriced wine. However, the aforementioned is not a crime, and they should be commended for attempting to break the rather monotonous stranglehold that regular bars and Italian eateries have on the entire area. They have really good food, but they are not dinner portions, and the prices border on eyebrow raising. The music is far too loud on weekends for a date option, and space for human mobility is limited. Maybe during regular weeknight dinner service one may find the place to be a solid option for a date, but again, the ambience makes you feel like you need to be either dressed like an accountant for an organization with a secretive underbelly, or a pretentious club in Manhattan where some folks are looking to meet their next mistake. Still have been trying to make a Jazz night here but I have to admit, the prices and being out that late on a Tuesday are a little bit frightening.

An amazing combination of ambiance, wine, music and food. The owner, John, makes us feel as if we are at his home and he takes so much pride in your experience that you feel as if the restaurant was built for you. The menu is extensive and there isn’t a bad dish to be had. Westchester needs more places like this one!

Sublime. Manhattan quality ambiance, food, exquisite wine, and excellent service with a personal touch from the owner, John, all set in a gorgeous, rustic, gothic, country church. I honestly don’t understand how this place has not yet been crowned amongst the very best in Westchester. Save some pennies, take a date or go with friends, sample as many tapas as you can handle, and be sure to take home a bottle of Vouvray.

I love this place! The food is amazing, everything from the strawberry mango guac to the lamb sliders and chicken arrollado — it’s all delicious. The ambience is also spectacular. The holiday decorations and light show make this a very special place. John is a great host and always feels like family when I dine at the restaurant. Thx for a lovely evening.

I wish I could give 6 stars. We walked in the front door, we were greeted by the owner who was an absolute gentleman. Now… The food. The food was spectacular. We had several different appetizers. They are made with a flair unlike any other. The different combinations were perfectly combined to make what would be ordinary food turn out gourmet. If anyone is looking for a place in upper Westchester, look no more. This is the finest of NYC now in Westchester.

This was such a good place that we cant wait to go back and try more Tapas. Great Selection of Wine Tapas were amazing very flavorful and the chefs order of Tapas fish to pasta to risoto definitely kept us wanting more. The décor is ultra cool. We were there two hours and didn’t even feel like it

Celebrated our anniversary here last night. We ordered several of the tapas dishes and they were all delicious. The specials were creative and spectacular: a shrimp stuffed avocado with chimichurri(so tasty!) and the strawberry mango guacamole was refreshing, different, and amazing! The Moroccan lamb sliders were also the perfect blend of traditional greek flavors. The wine selection is great and the ambiance is perfect for a special night out. We had to leave before the live band played but we will have to stay for some music next time we come!

This place is awesome. Hubby and I did a wine tasting class with the Winery owner Tom. It was a free wine tasting event — I tried signing up a month ago but bc of personal reasons we couldn’t make it. This time around by time I tried to sign up I was put on a standby list bc the class was full. I was contacted via email 2 days before to let me know there was a spot open — I was super excited.(Each class is different wines from different regions.) This class happened to be «wines from around the world» aka way more expensive than I would normally try.(I’m the $ 15 and under wine shopper.) Tom had us sample 4 wines — Bourgogne(Pinot Nior), Malbec(was a favorite of ours), Cab Sav,(I forget exactly what the other one was but it was a mixture of 3 – 4 grapes that we didn’t care for). Normally I don’t smell whatever you’re supposed to — I usually just get the scent of pure alcohol. Not sure if b the wines were a higher quality or what but I actually smelled fruits, berries, peppers etc… It was pretty amazing I finally smell more than just alcohol. The class lasted about an hour and we were all invited to stay for dinner — hubby and I already had dinner plans elsewhere for HVRW otherwise we would have stayed. Next class we will def be staying to try their food. Ps — Tom, the owner is really nice, funny, informative, and quite educated on his wine.

This past weekend I was lucky enough to experience a wedding here as someone’s guest. The place itself looks like a castle/barn with fake flickering candles, old stoned walls and a loft room hanging above the main dining and wine hall area. Formerly the St. George Church that now houses copious amounts of wine from the Hudson Valley area. Great little spot out in northern New York. Which, pardon, I don’t know anything about this area other than that there is a place called Bear Mountain. I guess their three main wines are: Cabernet Franc, Seyval Blanc, and Noiret. I know nothing of these wines and imbibed copious amounts of what I do recognize since their shelves were filled aplenty. Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Chardonnay, Rose, Cabernet Sauv, Malbec, and lastly their Tempranillo. I hit everything. More than once.(Slightly, but not really ashamed). My favorites were personally the Tempranillo and Rose. Though, everything else I had was of a much higher quality than I expected. The waiters were fantastic, passing out appetizers and being friendly with the drunks. Me. The food here was just okay. It tasted like wedding buffet food. The mini hamburger sliders were a little dry. The shrimp not memorable and butterflied open. Dried out Italian Flat bread pizza bites that lacked in flavor. Decent steak, fish, tortellini pasta and salad. Followed by Italian cookies, fresh melon, and coffee. I could have and should have passed on a number of things. My friend was a tad on the obnoxious side. My apologies but the staff let us stay a little bit longer until our ride arrived and even poured us another last glass. Service, friendliness, venue and wine — 5. Food — 3.
