Been to Mohegan Diner before. Food has been good. Never go back. after a very rude experience. After showing clients some homes I suggested we discuss what we saw over of a coffee. Nice young couple with infant in car seat sound asleep. Hostess was was an elderly woman I assume the owner. I asked if we could sit and talk over a cup of coffee. She said she didn’t understand, just coffee. I replied yes is it a problem? She said yes on a Saturday afternoon. I pointed out there was several empty tables in the room and no one waiting. To my and my clients surprise she told us if you want a cup of coffee, go across the street to Dunkin Donuts. I explained I live locally and dine here often. To my further surprise she said good have a nice day. I politely told her I doubt I could have a nice as she just ruined it and I would never dine there again. Humiliated we left and went to Dunkin Donuts. Honest to God. You tell me if you would go back. I completely understand if there was a line and busy but with so many empty tables I found it completely unacceptable.

Service is good and prompt. The food is meh although it comes out very hot so that’s a plus. The coffee is good coffee for diner. Everything just taste as if it were initially frozen.

I’ve been living in Florida for a little bit and down there they don’t have anything like these diners. But to come back and eat here was a delight. I got the omelet and it was just great. Everybody loved their food, the service was quick and attentive, the menu was HUGE and so exciting. Only downside is it’s super busy so parking was a nightmare and after a while they had to kick ppl out of their booths to make more room! But anyways, definitely worth it for the food.

The children’s portions were huge. The food in general was good for a diner. The waitress we had should find alternative employment. She was inattentive and more interested in leaning over a counter without checking on her customers.

It’s not necessarily so much this particular place, rather the diner model in general that’s broken. But seriously, how can you justify charging $ 10 for a side of macaroni? And you CAN’T justify charging $ 5 to share a plate. Staff seemed friendly enough though. All I had was a baked potato(which was small, but not bad) because I wasn’t too hungry.(Also because I didn’t feel like taking out a loan for a breakfast burrito.) But I dunno. If you’re into diners and like getting fleeced, it’s probably a pretty decent place.

Mohegan Diner is unobjectionable to the point of blandness. We’ve had both breakfast and lunch here, and both meals did the job without being either memorable or offensive. For breakfast, we ordered a short stack of multigrain pancakes and an omelette. The pancakes were fluffy, although there was nothing to identify them in either taste or texture as multigrain. The omelette was perfectly cooked and the cheese inside was hot and melted, but the salsa could have passed for Campbell’s vegetable soup(which I do enjoy, just not in my eggs). The accompanying home fries were crisp and mostly unseasoned. We also had two diner staples for lunch: a tuna melt and a BLT. Again, both were fine — an adequate portion of bacon, a heaping scoop of tuna salad. Both dishes were served hot, and both lacked any distinguishing qualities, either for better or worse. One week later, it took my fiancée three minutes even to recall what she had ordered. The diner itself is of the 1950s chrome revival variety, which means it looks like pretty much every other diner within 200 miles. The interior is cavernous, squeaky clean, and moderately loud, and the service is adequate if perfunctory. The prices are par for New York, which is to say that while they are by no means unreasonable for fair portions of food(the tab ran to about $ 20 for both meals), the bill may cause you to reconsider your decision not to cook at home. That said, sometimes we don’t want to cook at home, and sometimes all we want is the comfort of basic diner food. While we aren’t eagerly planning our next visit to Mohegan Diner, we will probably default to it at least a few times a year.

My GO-TO Diner. Anything from the menu is fantastic. It’s inviting, nice & clean, and the staff is knowledgable and friendly. Best of all you’re treated like family. Definitely best diner in the area, breakfast has to be my favorite hands down! Gyro Omelette is highly recommended!

We live close to this place, but go once every few years. Recently, we went early in the morning to avoid the crowds. There were several people working, and you couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get anything. When I finally did get one person’s attention, they never brought what I requested. Our waitress was moving as fast as molasses. We ate breakfast, and the hash«browns» were not even browned even lightly. The«hot» water is never hot.

Good food. This place has a nostalgic feel of the old diner days. The staff is knowledgable and fast. And the food was fresh and tasted great! Warning: Minimum order and a sharing fee.

I love their bacon cheeseburger deluxe, never a let down. Good fries, good seafood pasta dish although the tomato cream sauce is too salty and good triple decker chicken salad. The service is a hit or miss. Great late night dining. Don’t like their breakfasts. But sooooo expensive for what they are. The cheeseburger I like is about $ 13 and you have to pay for any extras. Definately needs to update décor. Nice bathrooms.

The food was warm when it arrived, the bacon was old like they made a huge batch earlier. The coffee tasted bitter. The toast also tasted like the toasted a bulk amount earlier on as it was hard and dry. And also they didn’t come to refill the coffee as they traditionally should at diners.

My wife and I have been going here for breakfast for years and have never, ever had a problem. Maria(the owner) and her staff have always welcomed us as friends and the service was consistently outstanding. The breakfast portions are always generous and their menu selections are numerous. I cannot comment on their dinners but the gyros are quite good. By far, our favorite diner in upper Westchester.

Really 2.5 stars. Great for traditional breakfast food — pancakes, french toast, eggs of any kind. I wouldn’t bother with much else. Years ago their sandwiches and gyros were quite good but have gone significantly downhill in recent years. The entrees are generally not appetizing and very overpriced. Their soups are not fresh by any means.

I have been coming here for 9 years and the food is good, the service is usually great and the prices are not bad. I saw reviews from someone who dined here twice after a night out boozing(her words) and gave bad reviews. My advice is to try it sober and judge it then. Also to the reviewer who didn’t like the placemats with the ads, this is very typical of most diners, and helps keep food prices down and I think advertising local business shows community support. The waitresses and waiters are all nice and we have never had an issue here.

This might be one of the worst diner experiences I’ve ever had. I came in hoping for some kind of pasta dish(any pasta, nothing specific) and I was quickly informed that there was a new cook in the back and he didn’t know how to cook anything«crazy». Given the fact that I work in the restaurant industry, and as disappointed as I was, I understood and settled on a chicken caesar salad. I also appreciated the waitress’s honestly on the matter. The food came out in a timely manner. The spinach dip was good. But, I got my salad and there was no chicken on it! Once again, I was pretty understanding plus I enjoy caesar salads without chicken as well. I then got the dressing in a sauce boat on the side. The dressing was extremely thin, seemingly watered down. Unsurprisingly enough, it tasted watered down as well. The croutons were pretty stale as well. My friend got a burger cooked medium rare. It seemed to be cooked correctly and he said he enjoyed it(hence why there are two stars instead of one). The service was not terrible but nothing to write home about. After we were given our food, no one returned to check and make sure everything was ok. I probably won’t be coming back to this diner any time soon.

How can you possibly screw up soup? It’s SOUP. Had the French onion last night at about 2am(hahah yeahhhhh it was a beer evening) and I swear, it was like a liquid salt lick. I love salty but this actually hurt to consume. So friggin bad! I would have been better off to eat a ball of playdoh. I’m putting my foot down, and NEVER coming here again, no matter what.

Every time I come here I leave thinking why why WHY did I come back? The staff is always friendly — that’s the only thing keeping them from getting 1 star. Our waitress was very playful with y 18 month old which gets her brownie points. The food has really gone downhill from years ago. I ordered a fried egg n cheese on a roll … It came out cooked well done with a firm yolk… Yuck! I asked my server to bring it back as have them make a new egg with a runny yolk… When it came out it was thick and gross. The bun tasted stale too… I should have just stuck to a deli for my favorite breakfast sandwich. Oh well… Hopefully I won’t be back too soon
