This place didn’t impress me. Maybe that’s because I had become accustomed to Cousin’s paintball(which is now out of business). This shop knows it has no competition within miles, and takes advantage of it fully. Store hours: this should have been the give away. They don’t open before noon. As you would expect, all of the kids that were working there were still in high school(not a problem, as that is the age of most paintballers). They were great, it was the old guy with the keys that pissed me off. I arrived at 11:40 thinking it would be open. Nope it was closed. My friend and I waited in the car for it to open. By 11:45, there were 5 employees standing outside. A guy in a black(mercedes? I forget) pulls up and parks. He sits in his car and talks on the phone for the next 20 minutes. My friend and I rightly assume that he is the owner. At this point, two more cars show up and just sit there waiting. It seems that everyone is waiting. We want to go in, the employees want to go in, but the guy in the black car keeps chatting away. At 12pm, I ask the kids outside if they are open, they tell me that the guy in the black car has the keys. We wait till 12:05, when the guy finally decides that he is off the phone and opens shop. Its about time. I walk in and another older guy is behind the counter. I tell him I need my tank hydrotested. He says, ok, that will be an up front payment of $ 50.(Judging from online prices, I should have paid closer to $ 25) I think $ 50, well, ok, I need it done. Its not until he rings me up that he tells me that it takes 1 – 2 weeks. I say that’s fine, call me when it’s ready. He interrupts me to tell me that I need to call them. I ask if they can call me, because I shouldn’t have to guess when it comes in. He gives me a look like I’m asking for something crazy and tells me that he will mark it down. I walk out of the shop a little tiffed, but still happy that I’ll be able to play again soon. Two weeks go by, I’ve heard nothing. I give them a call and am told that its been sitting there for a week. It would have been nice to know… I head into the shop, and am presented with my tank, which now leaks out of two of the holes(the main valve, as well as near the gauge). I ask the guy WTF, I gave you a good tank, and you return it back to me leaking. He gets in my face and tells me that its not his fault and that it can be fixed. I ask how much, he tells me $ 60 and that it would take another 2 weeks. At this point, I’m livid. Why didn’t you call me to tell me that when you were working on it? I sense a scam here and tell him I’m not interested. I ask him if he could fill the tank up. I only spent $ 50 to have it tested, and it has 1500psi in it. He then charges me $ 6 to get my tank filled. I don’t know how I didn’t explode on the spot. I walked out telling myself I will never go back here. As you can see, I had a terrible experience. I believe I was taken advantage of and toyed around with. They broke my tank, didn’t call me, and wanted to charge me more. I can safely say I will never return to this shop, and I suggest you never try it. 2 stars because the kids(not the adults) were friendly and informative. Actually, I take that back. I’m never dealing with them again, so they get 1 star.
