I like T&G, I’ve been there several times. I’m glad they are moving to McHenry, closer to me. The price is right and fits my fixed income. Great job ladies.

I went for a visit this past Tuesday, and it was great. Kali took her instructor Amanda’ s guidance and did a great fade and trim to my liking. I will be back in a few weeks for another.

My daughter’s both had their hair done by a very attentive, professional, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable stylist named Stephanie. My older daughter (14) had a color underneath with her natural color on top. Stephanie was able to do an age appropriate color with a cut that allowed for just enough of the darker color to peek-​a-​boo through. My younger daughter (9) had a fairly simple little girl cut with a few layers. It turned out adorable. I would recommend this place and stylist for sure. I can’t wait to see where the stylist ends up I know with the job she did she will go far.

The stylist was a bit timid, obviously she is a student so when she got going she loosened up a bit. The cut wasn’t exactly what I asked for but I still really like it. It was reasonably priced. You can’t beat $ 6! I enjoyed the salon too, very hip and young! Loved the music playing in the background. The salon was clean and nice looking. I will go back.

My haircut itself was great including the customer service that my stylist Maria presented. My only downfall was that the place was very chaotic between other students walking around and doing different things. But at a school it should be an expected environment. But overall I enjoyed my experience! Thanks

I went just yesterday to get my hair dyed, I set up an appointment but when I went there I didn’t even have a stylist waiting for me. They have randomly picked a student that was free, I was given a stylist named Samantha, she was a sweet girl and I had another woman named Lisa I believe who had to help her because my hair needed more than one person. The prices were fair I payed $ 70 for them to get rid of all of the colors in my hair which took about 3 hours to go entirely blonde since my roots didn’t have the box dye on them. It took me another few hours to get the color I wanted in my hair to match. By the way the cost depends on your hair length and what they have to do to get it the way you want. The girls are very sweet and fun to talk to and so are the students there. They compliment their classmates when it comes to clients they’re working on. It’s not as flashy as Paul Mitchell but they know what’s in style and will give you their honest opinions. I am likely to come back, they allow walk ins and the prices are very cheap compared to professional stylists. When it comes to dying hair they give you the seniors who actually know what they’re doing so you feel more comfortable with them and trust them. I hope this helps those who need to know about Toni and Guy!

The haircut my daughter got today is FANTASTIC! I’m very impressed by the skill of our student stylist, Crystal. Her long bob is perfection. What a nifty bargain! Yes, our usual stylist is wonderful as well but that’s $ 25 compared to $ 6. My regular girl is relatively new to styling as well and she’s the best I have ever been to. Well worth the «risk» to try this out. It did take a while. First of all, we had no appointment, we are also talking about a student, she was being cautious (as I noticed other students doing with their own respective clients) and, instructors were called over at numerous times.
I’m going back! These other negative reviews aren’t at all the experience we just had. If you’re thinking about going, I’d encourage you to give it a try! Maybe not for a radical makeover but for some polishing. You could end up walking out as wowed as we are:)

It’s a must to give a star however they don’t deserve that! So low of a school very very horrible experience! I was a student here they continually targeting me because I wasn’t up to there standards! Let me tell you there standards they didn’t like that I wasn’t girly enough for them aka a whir at a
actually very good looking by the way but since I wasn’t professional dressed with a low cut exposing my breast and hiking up my skirt I was made fun of and sent home suspended again.!! I was ridiculed by taken to a salon and asked if they would hire me based on my looks .i said what’s wrong with me I have no acne, my hair is clean straighten sorry or in a ponytail, in a polo black shirt and with black slacks. They asked who dressed me I told them I was pretty they made fun of me in front of the whole school by lining us all up and pickin me out along with maybe 2 girls who weren’t professionally dressed by that I ment they had slippers on or there hair was greasy. That was just one incident others in tailed me being called racist because of the N word .I felt I said nothing wrong I didn’t use it towards anyone hurting but the owner said because I wasn’t quote black I couldn’t use it and called me racist; funny thing my mom born raise from Mexico they didn’t know that shocking for them! i was suspended for 2 weeks and I had to pay for those weeks $ 11×7 hrs yeh that’s like $ 77 a day. I then was suspended for stupid targeting reason such as my make up because I didn’t believe in make up they send me home which I pay for. I thought it was literally was unfair of they to call me out with this instructor name Terri who looks 10 x worst then I ever did she had the most exploited clothes on and bright grey blue hair that I don’t ever think saw a comb in its life and was the grosses thing I ever saw! Oh that instructor Terri was in school when I was going to school she graduated 4 months ahead of me and she was automatically a instructor a senior instructor now how in the hell do you give some one the seniority of that rank when they know nothing of being in a salon or their license when they just got done with school she has no experience ! She then started targeting all the girls because she felt that she could do anything now since she’s the senior instructor! There learning education sucks as well my freshmen month I was ignored and later on sophomore year which is barely two months you cut on actual living people and if your not ready you go home suspended for a day. Yeh a lot of crap, drama and just not good teaching goes down at this place! So crap for education and crap for hair cuts don’t waste your money! Did I mention I didn’t want to put of with this torture no more so I try to transfer but they wouldn’t give my transcript and terminated me for defiants. I have witnesses as we’ll, so don’t go here for haircuts or education! They let anyone be a instructor and if your not down to look like a slut they’ll kick you out! the owner won’t help you and I’m 93 percent attendance and since being suspended I owe them $ 1,018 good luck

I have had nothing but great experiences with Toni and Guy Academy in modesto. I brought in two girls to get a complete color and new cut and style. Both of the girls were extremely pleased with their new color, cut and style. The process is took some time but its understandable because these girls are learning their skills. Very pleased with Toni and Guy Academy

Love Love Love my new haircut!!! My stylist did an awesome job. I would recommend this school to any and everyone!!! I have been to many hair salons, this school is a cut above the rest. I have paid A LOT of money for hair cuts and the hair cut I received, was of no less value. It was Spot on! Great Cut, Great Price, cool atmosphere!!! Definitely get my hair cut there again!

I saw the Toni&Guy hairshow at mall and it was spectacular!!! all the hairstyles were great and it was a high energy show. I then made an appointment to get my hair colored and it turned out great, students and teachers were nice and I loved the energy, I will most definitely be back!!!

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE! They will BUTCHER your hair! I was left with an uneven haircut that was un-​fixable. I now have to wait for it to grow back to have it properly cut.
