I’m new to the area and I am seeking a new Dentist. I have Denti-​cal/​Medical and haven’t received my BIC Medical cards for my children just myself. However I do have my San Joaquin insurance cards. This is the carrier I chose through Medical. When I called yesterday to set up an appointment the front office gal I spoke with wasn’t very helpful or sympathetic. She told me I couldn’t be seen without the BIC medical cards. I explained to her that I have been trying to obtain them. However I had my other insurance cards. She told me no she needed something that had the medical numbers on them. I told her I can get that from Stanislaus county office. I explained that my kids were seen by a general doctor and UC here without the cards. They just went to the medical website and verified that they had medical coverage through their socials. I asked couldn’t she do the same since I’m having a difficult time trying to obtain the BIC cards. She said «yes I can» in a very monotone voice. Then she said she would still need the cards by the appointment date. I said I would do my best to obtain them can you verify set up the appointment now. She said «yes and asked for me to hold»
What it boiled down to is that I shouldn’t have to tell you how you can verify coverage. Possibly a bit more understanding to my situation. Secondly you can be a bit more encouraging especially with a new patient. There was no extra given seemed as if she doesn’t enjoy her job or the lack of doing her job. Bottom line defiantly on the hunt for a welcoming dental office.

The 2 stars are for the receptionist who was kind, courteous, and gave us a same day appointment for a toothache my son had been suffering from. She was great. We just moved to the area and due to my benefits from work not being active yet, my kids have Denti-​cal. Well I don’t think we have ever been mistreated before but the dentist did not even speak to my husband (who was in the room with my son), he tried to explain to her what was going on and she said «yeah, I’ll do the cleaning» which was not why we’re even there. She proceeded to clean my son’s teeth and walked out. At the front desk we were given a prescription for amoxicillin and ibuprofen, and a referral to an oral surgeon. There was no explanation as to any of this and no one took the time to say anything to us, it was kind of like here’s your stuff, now get out of here! Denti-​cal, delta-​dental, etc these all mean we are insured and the fact that they treat clients differently bc of it is something to be ashamed of. If you don’t want to deal with denti-​cal clients don’t accept the insurance. I have never felt so belittled, I would not recommend this dentist to any one, they don’t like to talk to people, which is a pretty big part of they need to do when you are a children’s dentist: communicate with parents.

I absolutely love my dentist (dr macarubbo) but more and more our appts are requiring longer and longer as we sit and wait in waiting room. Not sure if they schedule too close together or what happens but it’s no fun‼

Best dental office I have been to in a long time. Great with kids and great communication with clients :)

Worst Dental office ever! I had already done a quick check of my daughters mouth and had known she needed a filling, my husband had taken them in and the dentist had told my husband that I was confused, she didnt need any dental work done. I took them to another office and she had the proper work done and with the right evaluations, found out my daughter needed to see an endontist, because she was missing half of one of her tooths root. Im glad I did a second appointment elsewhere, to think that a certain issue could of went unnoticed and could of escalated! Im glad I knew better than to just believe what healthcare professionals tell you. Be aware people!

The people here are great, there awesome went it comes to kids my 8year-​old gets up when they call her and she goes all by her self in the back for her cleaning s. Love this place

Avoid! They wanted to charge me their $ 25 no show fee, even though I cancelled the appointment. Lack of customer service just cause their staff didn’t do their job, blaming the possible non documentation on their extern. There are a million dentists out there, why go to one that feels $ 25 is more important than a patient!!!
