I just returned from buying my sons first hobby grade RC Truck from John at RClynx. He has a great selection for all levels. We were looking at ¹⁄₁₀^th scale cars but he advised that a ¹⁄₁₈^th scale would be better for my 9 year old.
John’s prices are the same as you can find on line and he is knowledgeable and friendly. They also have spare parts so you can pop in for replacements when you break something in a crash or you can upgrade your vehicles there.
John also had a good selection of planes as well as plastic models.
I will definitely be recommending RCLynx to anyone looking to get into RC cars or trucks.

I just had one of the BEST customer service oriented experiences in a long time! I bought my son a remote control airplane for Christmas from a local hobby shop (RCLYNX Hobby Shop at 1025 Lone Palm Ave. suite #2 °F Modesto, Ca. 95 351‑1579) My son flew it for the first time and crashed it after about 5 min. of flying. Unfortunately, the propeller broke and the propeller shaft bent. John told us that when the parts came in that we purchased, he would fix it for my son for free! In a time of «Big Box stores» and customers being treated like just numbers and pieces of a bottom line, it’s refreshing to come across a company that treats their customers like the all-important parts to its success as they are. I would highly recommend RCLYNX Hobby Shop for all your RC needs.
