I’ve been going here for years now. It’s a good place to have softball tournaments. The field conditions are not bad. They have a pretty good crew as far as I can tell. The backstops are the cyclone arch-design(shell) backstops on the four center fields. There are six fields. The playground for the younger kids gets flooded when it rains. The snackbar used to sell breakfast burritos, but not anymore. The $ 3 grilled-cheese sandwich is the size of an index card. It wasn’t like that before. On one cold day they didn’t turn the heat on in the snackbar until the day was almost over. Again, it wasn’t like that before. There’s food a few miles West on Claribel.

Came here for a winter tournament with my son. The fields are really geared toward adult softball and small kids little league-type teams. Bigger kids will see that the 90′ bases are right near the grass and outfields have gopher-type holes where fences can be brought in for the small guys. Mounds are bad — most pitchers were catching their cleats on the underlying rubber mats. Pitching mound was actually angled away from home plate! We had a delay in one game for about 45 mins because the field crews could not make the mound better. They somehow could not bring out a tamper to compress the dirt — they did it with their feet! With only two fields active, it was surprising how little field support there was. For parents, the clubhouse is okay — the interior is a concrete floor/industrial carpet over concrete so the place is more of an enclosed barn. Small kids area does not have its own netting so playground gets a few stray balls.

Came here for my daughter’s softball tournament in the fall. Pros: Plenty of parking(gravel) Large snack bar area with lots of inside seating and TV’s semi clean bathrooms play structure for the kiddos(with sand)! Cons: They charge an admission fee(still managed to sneak in some snacks) No outside food Overall a good sports park. I wouldn’t mind coming back for some more torneys next year.
