Don’t come here unless you want old seafood and under seasoned food. Seriously, do yourself the favor and save your money. I came here Sunday lunch time and it was dinner food served all day which was fine. I got to the sushi section and the inside of the rolls looked like they maybe had a pinch of imitation crab. It’s not even real crab, I don’t get why anyone would be stingy with imitation crab. They have a raw seafood section which consists of oysters and mussels. I usually try oysters because I like them so much but I had to pass today because it looked as if I would get food poisoning from them. They were small and poorly shucked that the meat of the oyster was cut up. There is a mongolian grill section which looked promising but I was too full to try it. There you have an assortment of meats and shrimp to choose from. The best things here were the egg rolls and watermelon. I kid you not, almost everything I tried was underseasoned or not fresh. Their cheesecake slices tasted like just cheese. It was a very disappointing experience for me and I will not be coming back.

Been a while since we’ve been there. I forgot about the sushi bar. LOVED it! So many choices to select and very tasty. That’s all I had. I never remember the names, dang me. However, I recall my new favorite having bean curd. So refreshing and tasty. Funny how the first one I had didn’t have much cream cheese, the my next trip to the bar, the one I chose had much more cream cheese, which I don’t really care for. Also loved the eel rolls. Delicious! On a separate note, while I was washing my hands in the ladies room, a fellow patron and her child emerged from the stall and headed straight out without washing their hands. I and another patron in the ladies room were pretty grossed out. Just beware patrons, that not everyone is hygiene conscious so wash your hands constantly throughout your visits to restaurants, especially buffets. This woman and her child returned to the buffet. Yowza! Anyhoo, thank you staff at Hibachi! Great food, great service, and love those lit up trees!

A huge tree with a bright lights at the entrance need to be a smaller tree and a softer lights. An inviting & welcoming entrance way at any restaurants are important. The steel panel around the steamed table food displays need to be cleaned and polished. Food selection is ok, though more varieties would help. Food taste and service are very good; floor attendants are polite, friendly, and attentive. This is a big plus for me who loves tasty food and good service. Their dessert selections and taste are pretty good as well. Prices are excellent at $ 8 for lunch buffet and $ 13 for a dinner buffet(McDonald’s costs you more for a burger, fries, and a drink). I will be back! And… I certainly recommend this place to anyone! de Bear

Décor is nice and interesting, replete with huge pottery jar composed of faux gold jewelry, a fish and turtles in a pond fountain. Fortunately, they don’t slaughter the fish that is in the pond. This was my first time here since the new owner and name change from Jumbo Buffet, now called Hibachi Grill and Sushi Buffet. There is a decent selection for anybody’s taste buds. The sushi was slightly dry but still fresh enough for a buffet. I ate the salmon and the soy rolls. I don’t eat shellfish but there are crab, oysters, crayfish for people who like tthem. Also, chicken dishes prepared many ways: teriyaki, schnitzled sweet & sour, orange, mild pepper. Also, black –peppered beef –broccoli. You can choose white steamed rice or fried rice. The lady, Ivy, was very accommodating to my guest’s needs. My first time here and I shall be back to try it again.

I use to love this place when it first opened up a few years ago. Over the years the food has gotten progressively worse. My wife refuses to go there. The last time I went, I went alone. Many of the trays sit empty. The crab legs are over cooked and full of water. I grabbed a few oysters and all three were bad. It was just gross and to expensive. I’m done. Never going back.

Okay so I had to try it, always looking for a good«buffet». Unfortunately this was not it. To start with, None of the employees wanted to be there, everyone was rude. This was the worst fried rice I’ve ever had, it tasted like instant boxed rice. My fried fish was not fully cooked, it was still pink inside. They offer crab legs but literally put out a handful at a time. All of the dishes looked Like they were just thrown together and to be honest, the place just didn’t look clean. We paid $ 31.50 for lunch for two and it was most definitely NOT worth it. We probably didn’t even eat $ 5 worth of food. This was my first and last visit.

I’m from Los Banos, wanted some sushi at a reasonable price. I loved this place. My husband and I usually spend around $ 100 when we go out for sushi. We were at Trader Joe’s, saw this place next door and decided on a whim to give it a try. We liked the variety. Something for everyone. Food was tasty and fresh. They even did a special order of sushi for us. One thing I really loved they didn’t kill us with rice. Try this place I’m sure you will like it. I did and I am going back.

Don’t even want to give this place 1 star. Very disappointed. Only reason we went was because we had a groupon. And then she tried to charge us normal price, saying the groupon makes her lose money. Main reason we went was for crab legs. And literally sat there for 30 min before asking when they would bring more out. They did but returned major attitude to us before. Sushi was not fresh. The only thing that was really appetizing was the white rice. Very dirty restaurant. I wonder what happened at their last health inspection?

I’m from out of town, im originally from Fresno and quite the connoisseur in Asian food. And when I came to this place I had high hopes. First of all when i came inside I was greeted with a faint smell of feet. When I went to the buffet it was most of the trays were half full, the Oysters didn’t seem like they weren’t shucked fresh. When I went around to explore their options I was revolted with a seen of salmon .Just from the look of the sushi it seemed dry and not fresh(it taste worst than it looked). I would not recommend eating here because it’s full of sketchy looking good

I went here for lunch after moving to town. So i was ised to my normal sushi and chinese buffets. The only difference was. EVERYTHING. my table was sticky and filthy, my cup was dirty, the sneeze guards on the buffet line were filthy, the carpet. you guessed it filthy. Now im easy going but this olace possed me off and the only semi edible option was there grilled chicken… Do not try the sushi and if you wanna go here just call me instead and you can give me the money instead of throwing it away at this pigsty. Horrible sushi buffet rant over!

There were so many buffets that I went in my life time. All over the nation, from Florida, California, Nevada, Washington state, Virginia, etc., I have been to a lot of buffets. By far, this place has to be the worse one. First all, I asked the waitress how much the buffet costed, and she said $ 13. She immediately stated«we had a lot of seafood.» I thought to myself that $ 13 wasn’t too bad if seafood was included. Went over to see the selection. There were varieties. At first, they looked decent. Until you get closer to the food, they were dry. Sushi rice was hard. Food wasn’t fresh. Felt like overnight food that was in the refrig and they brought them out when the food supply was low. The only fresh food that they had… maybe the fruits. Even then, it looked suspicious. If the ice cream looked gross, something had to be wrong with this place. The carpet was absolutely dirty. Was not a clean facility. Wonder if they do an annual inspection at this place… I could see a lot of roaches throwing a party at night… Rating Food — 0 Service — 0 Price — 0 Ambience — 1 Total: 0 Only part about this place was the turtles and fish on display. I will not be coming back to this place.

This buffet is very close to the mall so is a great place to eat after a shopping day and is also close to the freeway with easy acces, what i like most most is that they have a good food and there is also a variety of sushi(if you like sushi). The facility counts with a large room for your party, to keep family and friends together. The chocolate fountain for strwberries and marshmellows make this place the favorite of the kids, we were very happy and pleased with the service ! But … don’t let nobody just tell you! You should come to try yourself. DG

This place used to called jumbo buffet, and it was ok. Not great, but what you would expect for a Chinese buffet in a strip mall. Around the time the strip mall exterior was freshened up, the name of this place changed and the food quality went downhill. Since the name change, they seem to be cutting(even more) corners. Food is left out until it’s gone, no matter how old and nasty it is. The selection is slightly less than it used to be, they are using hot mustard packets instead of making it, the soups are really watery, etc.
